Refer to my previous post on my feelings on this. It is nearly impossible to constantly hustle back when you're playing 43 mpg and doing literally everything on offense for the team.

It's not just that. It's also coming into the season overweight. What message does that send to the team after signing a gigantic contract with adidas in th season. That's the beef some have.

But still 7 is a **** ton that must be a ton of luck to get that many. I haven't seen that many from anybody too many times. Still definitely worth noting in my opinion

I didn't watch this game, but in a lot of the defensive lowlights Harden drifts off his man toward the top of the key where he's in the vicinity of a lot of passing lanes and Ling rebounds. Sometimes he gets a steal/board and jumpstarts the fastbreak, other times he gives up an open three or backdoor cut.

Chris Paul does the same thing. He is aware enough that he rarely loses his man because of it, but fairly frequently he does give up the step that lets the offensive player get into the paint. The Clippers with DeAndre are much sharper on their rotations, and Paul is really good at subtle grabs and bumps as his man goes by that let him get back in the play. If Harden wants to take risks to get steals, he ought to learn some of the same tricks.

I'd agree with you on him being a top 4 offensive player. Probably #3 behind Steph and KD. However, to say he's a top 7 player overall adds in a bunch of other factors, such as defense, leadership, the undefinable "it" factor, heart, killer instinct on both ends, effort, etc. In that case, I'd say he's not top 7. I'd rather have all the following players on our team if I had to decide between them and James:

Anthony Davis

You may hate them, but they are exactly the reason why the Rockets suck and the Warriors are so good.

They are the opposite of that descriptive list you posted about the Rockets: The give a million flying ****s, they are the core of team chemistry, all heart and the list goes on and on. You can hate them all you want, but hopefully you recognize what they do on the court. Their toughness alone is good enough to beat the rockets, they really don't even need Thompson or Curry.

I hate soft teams, and that is exactly what we are. SOFT.

If the Rockets hope to win anything in the future, they need more Draymond/Iggy and less of what they currently have. We need toughness more than anything.

Yup. Hate them all you want, but they are core to the Warriors winning. Green is easily the 2nd most important player on the Warriors. Dude plays hard, tons of minutes, plays all 5 on the floor at times, team player, does the little things, is crafty, etc. And, never has off court issues. Any NBA fan would want him on their team.

Green is our Beverley but an all-star. I hate Green but would love him on our team.

I'm sorry but what?! Harden played 40 straight minutes and was physically drained from putting the team on his back for as long as he could. If you think for even a second that James is a problem or has been in this series you are just looking for reasons to be mad.

His line was 18-10-7.....you can't ask for much better than that from the guy who you run your entire offense through. Hell, pretty much all of Dwights 19 points were a result of Harden cutting and throwing the alley.
