To the folks here thinking Jordan did nothing wrong or that the manner in which he acted isn't questionable, if the Mavs had been the ones to back out in similar fashion, they would be absolutely slaughtered in the media and by those of you saying it's no big deal.

He definitely hurt the Mavs, but people like the OP are way over-reacting. It reminds me of the CLE fans who burned LeBron jerseys a few years ago

Feeling within DJ's family is that Dan Fegan was pushing DJ to sign with Mavs. Fegan also represents Parsons and is tight with Cuban.

Honestly these guys, especially max level players like Dre, are dumb to have agents. He is deciding which max level offer he wants and is paying out 4% on the gross? That's 3.2mm off the top of his $80mm contract for what exactly? Get a really good lawyer to review the contract (which is probably fairly boilerplate) and you are out a couple thousand dollars.
He made the right decision, no Houston kid should ever sign with a Dallas team in FA.

It's not like he is going back to the Nuggets or the Pelicans, he's going to arguably one of the most hated teams in the NBA. Only Doc Rivers, and Blake Griffen & CP3 fanboys can't figure out why the Clippers are hated. Now that fans have this to hang on DeAndre, it won't be forgotten for a while.
Clippers were by far my most hated team even before this happened. This just adds fuel to the fire.

Jordan was probably the only guy on the Clippers who didn't have a significant number of detractors from other fanbases, and now he will get it as bad as anyone. Maybe that will be the missing ingredient to make CP3 get along with him better.
Classic rant toward DeAndre
To me, the issues isn't as much that he flipped (but waiting so long was bush league). The part that makes him look like a spoiled brat is that he didn't even communicate with the Mavericks to let them know what he was doing.
