He needs to man up. This isn't picking teams on the playground or having multiple invitations to the homecoming dance and trying to figure out which person to go with ... Totally immature, disrespectful, and unprofessional.

Unbelievable. Disappointing. Speechless.

You don't give your word unless you are ready to follow-through on it. I wouldn't have minded if he opted to stay in LA from the outset, but the fact that he made a commitment to Dallas and is backing out at the 11th hour is nothing short of low-class and extremely piss poor.

So, any confirmation that he did indeed inform Dallas that he would speak to them? If so and he just ignored them, real difficult to even consider this being alright. That is a straight up ***** move.

Agreed but my guess is plenty of folks here will defend him because he a) played for A&M, b) is screwing over the hated Mavs, or c) both. Any other set of circumstances and he'd be unanimously criticized.
Im defending him because it was the correct decision for him to get a championship.

Who the **** cares? Then he should have never agreed to sign with the mavs. Or at least take a ****ing phone call and tell parsons and Cuban what his decision was. He is and always will be a chicken ****.

There is no way in hell anyone can defend his actions today. Even if the clippers give him a better chance at a championship.

The only think from this I can't figure out is where Jordan's agent is. Talk about looking like an ass.

Look: at the end of the day, Jordan staying in LA is probably best for everyone, including the Mavs, who are not going to be overpaying for a piece that really doesn't get them there with the other issues they have.

Cuban has to figure out what the hell he's doing. Something isn't working there.

Jordan will thrive in LA and LA is one of the few teams that's just about there.

His agent was frozen out. Clippers went around his agent and dealt with him directly.

ESPN is saying that the agent isn't in the house, and that the agent must sign the contract as well. So either deandre lets his agent in on whatever he has planned, or he signs without his agent and risks getting sued for breaching his player/agent contract. The whole thing is freaking bizarre

The thing is an agent, bottom line, has to do what his client wants, which means, even though he probably doesn't agree with it, he'll end up signing the contract. I'm sure they'll fax it to him. Then sometime over the summer, Jordan will quietly switch agents, allowing Fegen to save some face.

However, I'm guessing Cuban will be leery of ever signing another Fegen guy again.

It's ok, he'll get over it when they beat Dallas like most teams next year will.
Jacques
How long do you want to ignore this user?
The thing is, I think he probably really wanted to stay in LA and wasn't that hot on Dallas. That was just not going to be a good career move.

The real bad guys here are the Clippers, who I think didn't show him the love when he wanted it. And maybe Jordan's agent didn't press the issue with them like he should have. That might have made it easier for the clippers to shut him out.

Fegan's client list is starting to look pretty weak outside of Howard, Jordan, Demarcus, and Wall.

I've never liked the guy. He's been a thorn in the side of the Spurs for years mostly because they are smart and he is stupid. He's the one to told Stephen Jackson back in 2003 to turn down a 3 year, $10M offer from the Spurs only to have Jackson's next best offer be a 2 year, $2 Million dollar deal with the Hawks. Then, the Malice in the Palace happened shortly thereafter and Stephen Jackson's career was basically derailed. F Fegan.
