Deron makes 21mm. You want Brooklyn to eat that and sign him for a minimal amount.

Mavs weren't going to win anything with Jordan anyway. That starting five of Jordan, Nowitzki, Matthews, Parsons and whoever else they found didn't exactly scare anyone.

Parsons is an average to below average player on what appears to be a "man crush" deal/"let's screw over that Morey prixx, oh crap that came back and bit me" deal. Every time I see Cuban looking at Parsons I really think, "he is about to kiss that guy," and I doubt Parsons would have a problem with it at all... not that there is anything wrong with that.

Nowitzki was finished three years ago. He stops players going to the rim the way Poland stopped his favorite army from entering Warsaw

Matthews is a sixth man and is best when playing 22 minutes a game, not to mention he can't walk, Max deal on a non-starting one legged average shooter who used to play a little d when he could still move. Yep that makes sense. Let's build around the cripple and the guy who wants to be Don Johnson circa 1982!!!

Deandre has to be removed at the end of the game for free throw problems. WhoHoo - max deal for a seriously flawed player when we have no way to cover the flaws!!

What else is left? Bunch of veteran minimums and Richard Jefferson clones

They should have let Matthews walk away as well when Deandre flaked and blown the thing up. Jordan helped Dallas by walking away.

He didn't want to walk away, likely because not a lot of teams want to pay $70mm for a player that just blew out their achilles tendon.

They technically could've pulled his offer (the mavs, i'm talking about here), but then the Mavs would look like hypocrites, not showing "loyalty" like they thought DJ did. They actually ended up pulling their Max contract offer to Deandre Jordan at the very end, so he had no choice but to sign with LAC

And I'm ok with this. Try to compete for the 7 or 8 seed. Get a couple more playoff appearances for Dirk. I'd hate to see him traded. And I'd hate to see him spend his last couple of years on a 20 win Mavs team.

Who knows. Maybe Deron has a resurgence. Maybe Parsons and Matthews get healthy and play above their capabilities.

If i was a Mavs fan, i am not sure how i would feel about D-Will. Just seems like another Rajon Rondo type of move. Lots of splash but not sure how much difference it will make on the court.

I would have liked this move if we were still getting deandre.

I almost shed a tear on that episode of Fresh Prince. It is very fitting to how I feel about DJ.

I was hoping to get Amare back. I feel like Williams is just going to help the Mavs linger in no-mans land for longer than necessary. Unless they build up a good base and help lure the big FA "next year". Won't they have cap room for 2 big fish next year?

Maybe the Mavs should adopt the Yankees logo with a big NY on it for "next year"...

Also, Cuban might be crying about losing DJ, but this has been invaluable for his CyberDust investment. That thing's getting so much pub out of this...

Just saw Dirk: The Perfect Shot. It reminded me of how bad we are going to be this season, but not awful enough to rebuild and get our top 7 pick.

14th in FGs with 9894. He needs only 69 FGs to overtake Dominique Wilkins for 13th. 11th and 12th are both active players and 10th (Hondo) is 620 FGs away.

17th in 3s made with 1575. 111 more to pass Steve Nash at 15th.

37th in rebounds with 10051. 449 rebounds would have him pass David Robinson, Bill Cowens, Ben Wallace and Bill Laimbeer for 29th. There are two active players between Dirk and 29th (Marion and Howard.)

7th in points with 28119. Just 477 more points to pass Shaq for #6. Still 3300 from Wilt at #5.
