If healthy, Matthews is good on both ends of the floor. That's something the Mavs really lack, particularly wing defenders.

Matthews is the kinda player we have been wanting for a long time. IF we can also get jordan, we will be pretty salty. Just need to pick up a pg that can spot up, dont need an all star.

I love Wes!!! He is definitely better than green. Green could have gotten way more if he didn't stay with Spurs anyways. Senate Carroll got 15 million per and I'd take Matthews over him.

If you say Wes is an average starter, I challenge you to name the 2 guards that are better than him. There aren't many at all. And with the cap going up its not an overpay at all. Parsons/Wes at the 2 and 3 is really good.

Hopefully this means we get deandre now. Still have no clue who our point will be.

Of course that's all assuming he comes back healthy. But we don't really have any other options at this point. We can't start the rebuild now bc we have no assets to trade and won't get our draft pick next year if it's top 7.

Just think about what wright was able to do,and dj can do it better plus elite defense and Rebounding.

Still concerned that Dirk is still going to have to take a large role in scoring.

I don't think we will be barn burners or anything, but I think if this thing meshes well we could make some noise in the playoffs, which would be nice. Need pretty steady improvement from Parsons to make this thing real. Which I just don't see happening.

I think it helps more for next offseason and trying to lure a second max player. For this coming season, replacing Rondo, Monta, Aminu, Amare, and Tyson with Matthews, Anderson, and DeAndre isn't enough to make them legit contenders IMO. But they'll be fun to watch.

Yep. Fun to watch and be pretty good. Need more, but there's a very good foundation there now that was nearly nonexistent 24 hours ago.
