I agree. He's a 3 and D PG. That isn't a fit for the majority of teams. But I think he still fits as a starter for some. Like OKC and play Russ as the "2" (in name only)
problem is that beverley is actually a very average 3pt shooter and compared to the last two seasons, his defense has not been particularly good this year either.
i wouldn't mind him returning to houston as a backup, but if somebody wants to overpay and give him the starter's job, then good luck to him and them.
I think the Rockets need someone who can create since Ariza is more 3 and D. I think he'd fit well on OKC, purely from a skill set standpoint. He'd take Robertson's spot.
I think the Rockets really need someone that can be a playmaker for their second team. They need a guy like Jason Terry or Manu Ginobili in their prime that can come in, ignite the offense and hit some big shots. They can play SG or PG and can play next to Harden as more of a pure shooter or give Harden a break and run down the other team's backups.
Depending on what PBev thinks he is worth, he could be the right guy next to Harden as a starter. But I think the Rockets really need someone to match up against the other team's PG/SG. If Bev is only hitting 38% from the field, he isn't that man, because every team is going to slack off him to double Harden and rightfully so.
I don't think the Rockets need that second playmaker to start with Harden. They need him to be able to relieve Harden and keep the Rockets in it or even get hot and run the score up with the second team.
