I would pay good money to see Gortat and Pekovic square off.

Yes, that would be a good battle, but when Gortat needs to tag out, and he is going to Nene (who probably learned jiu jitsu from the Gracies in Brazil) vs. when Pekovic tagging off to Kevin Love (who probably gets injured on the tag-in when he and Pekovic slap hands), the Wizards duo would easily win the match.

The coaching or lack there of by Jason Kidd last night at the end of the game was awful. They were down 2 with 42 seconds left with 3 timeouts - you have to call a timeout to advance the ball and set up a good quick look so you get the advantage of a 2 for 1 and don't have to foul. Instead they inbound the ball from the baseline and walk it up and Pierce misses a 3 with 24 seconds left and they have to foul and never again had a shot to tie the game. That really is not that difficult of a concept for a team with a bunch of veterans but Kidd showed his inexperience as a coach. I was surprised the announcers did not say anything during the broadcast.

Game is 40 minutes old and Indiana has 66 points and is shooting 38% from the floor.

Atlanta is shooting 36% and has fired up 30 three-pointers, missing 21 of them.

The way this is setting up, either Atlanta or Washington is going to be in the Eastern Conference finals.

The way these playoffs are going, it makes even less sense for Brooklyn to tank for the 6 seed.

Another "Tony Allen" moment in this Wiz/Bulls game. Up 5 with 3.9 seconds left, a Bulls player fouls John Wall 65 feet from the basket and he shoots wildly and awarded 3 FTs. Makes them all and only down 2.

Bulls pull it out though. But the bad situational awareness of some of these players is astounding.

Yeah, there is no excuse for backcourt fouls in that situation. I'm surprised the announcers didn't mention the similarity to the Allen foul last night.

Of course, it was all moot when Washington threw away the missed free throw rebound at the end. Ariza doesn't have time to find another player. He should have dribbled up the court and put up a prayer around half court.

That was awful. The officials couldn't decide if they were gonna let them play or not. Then the 3 point call. That was a strange ending for sure.
