Token, Adande was saying that crap last night too. He's acting like the Twitter "reports" were accurate and that he waffled. The media still wants Dwight to be the bad guy even though he 100% handled this the right way.

Screamin A Smith called out "reporters" from this hit piece last night because Howard never waffled. It was totally made up.
Edit: He didn't waffle after deciding on Houston yesterday. Dwight did say leading up to the decision that the $30mil was on his mind but what Adande is reporting is at best a lie.

Token and a couple of other people called it right from the beginning that the reports of Dwight waffling were totally made up.
If the Lakers still had Mike Brown then they would probably have Dwight. Instead they have Dantoni who is going to lead them to the lottery.

JJ Adande can sit on an upside down pineapple....and I'm a mavs fan. That guy is a lying idiot and the media botched this whole thing up, especially espn....I really hope FS1 just simply reports sporting news instead of trying to create it. It would be so refreshing.

I heard it all yesterday, and I will say it again. He was at the mercy of the media. It was a two-way street. All of these so-called "sources" could report whatever the hell they wanted to and put Dwight in whatever light they saw fit. He made up his mind. Chose the Rockets. Flew to LA to break the news to his former team. Now guys like Adande and various LA media members want to make him look like the bad guy. A lot of egos have been hurt because they have this holier than thou attitude because they are THE LAKERS. They have title banners in the rafters. Retired jerseys galore. A rich history indeed. But in the end thats exactly what it is....HISTORY

Is FS1 going to rival ESPN as dar as media coverage and reporting? I hope someone does something like that soon. ESPN can be tough to watch. They are turning into MSNBC of news reporting.

I agree about not putting us ahead of OKC and SA. Don't agree with GS. Curry and Bogut are big injury risks, and Bogut and Lee don't play well together. Also Barnes is being a little overrated right now. They're very good though.
I still think Houston is at best a 5th seed personally. Huge stride made with signing Howard, but they really need to work on their depth if they want to have any chance. I don't think they are contenders yet.

by the way, what's with the ryan anderson fascination? The guy shoots 43% for his career. He's a good 3 point shooter, but good lord, how can you never get above 44% FG shooting as a 6'10 guy?

Ive seen reports stating NO had no interest in moving Anderson and want no part of asik. Why would they when Davis is their future?

Something else to keep in mind: This will be the first off-season/training camp that the staff will have with Harden and now an ostensibly healthy Howard. The Harden trade was 3-4 days before the season started.
As far as Harden's scoring going down being a problem, I think he will be glad someone else is there to ease the scoring burden. He is a good passer and, more importantly, a willing passer.
Also, as others have said, the pieces are still in motion. The Rockets' ceiling will be a good bit higher this coming season, though...top 3 in the West wouldn't be surprising.

tremble, I hope you're right, but I'm skeptical that we'll be able to provide enough to get a player of Aldridge's caliber when he still has 2 years left.
Bullard averaged 2 rpg for his career. Anderson is better than that.
