I really like going to the FEForum for either Tiger or Grizzlies games. Beale Street is a pretty good place to hang out either beforehand, and great crazy to be after a victory.

However, after very emotional & disappointing losses, it can be a little crazy the other way.

After a big Tigers (Ranked #1) loss* to Tennessee (Ranked #2) when Derrick Rose was there, it was scary. Tennessee fans celebrating coming out of the Forum were met by fans pouring out of bars on Beale St and angry fans coming out of the Forum. Fortunately, there were about 100 cops there to keep people moving. Good times.


*Edited to add that technically, all the Tiger games that year were losses.

I'm very surprised how this series turned out. It really shows you how good Chris Paul is. The Clippers have such poor basketball IQ and are so bad on defense (outside of Paul) and the Grizzlies are the best defensive team in the West and should have enough offensive firepower to beat the Clippers soundly in this series. Chris Paul is just a maniac.

I think the Grizz win tonight and push the series one more game. Hope I'm wrong, but then again a little bit more fatigue for them while the Spurs rest can be a good thing.

I'd rather start round 2 earlier and rest before OKC/LA.

You never know how long or short that series will go though. We'll see.

I'd rather start earlier too, but I do know the Spurs were a little banged up after a physical series with the Jazz. A little layoff while the Clips and Grizz beat up on each other some more might be a blessing in disguise. Gotta play the hand you're dealt.

According to some of the Spurs players' interviews, a few of them were a little dinged up after the Jazz series. Nothing major, just the bumps and bruises that come with playing a scrappy team like Utah.

It's interesting that Gasol's, Randolph's, Speights, and Blake Griffins foul rate's are significantly higher in the post-season (i.e. called for more fouls per minute than in the regular season), but Reggie Evan's is at historic lows.

In 11 regular seasons and 4 post-seasons, he has never been called at a lower foul rate.

If the grizz don't dominate from the tip, they lose any respect I had for them, regardless of the outcome.

My bet is that they are going back to LA.

Paul already has a flop in this game.
