Every team complains about the officials publicly at least once a season. Hell other than Cubes, the other world record holder for that is your boy Phil Jackson, so don't try and get high and mighty on us.

Mavs will always carry the stigma of complaining about the refs. Nothing much to be done about it.

That writer seems to really sensationalize the situation, it's really not that big of a deal. Everybody b-tches about individual calls, and personally I don't believe the Mavs are being targeted specifically. The fact that it's coming from a respected vet like Kidd and not Cuban should stand for something, but whatever.

As a tangent, based on a bit of that article, it seems like it's become en vogue for sports writers to talk about how most moments in a game carry similar meaning. Like so much emphasis has been put on "clutch" in the past that a new counter-culture of "forward thinkers" have started to emphasize that it's not that big of a deal, a buzzer beater and a random 3 pointer in the second quarter are both worth 3 points, etc etc. Personally I think the gravity of a moment inherently makes it more significant.

Definitely, judge. Anyone who writes that a bucket in the 2nd, and a bucket to tie the game in the dying seconds, has never played a meaningful game of ball in his life.

I never played collegiately, but I took my share of tying/winning shots up to that point, and its a different atmosphere. I can only imagine how much more difficult it is when the stakes are so much higher.

It certainly adds another attribute we repsect from elite athletes

I finally though, after last years run, that Dirk would finally get the calls from the refs.

Its like that all went out the window this year, especially this past month.

Terry is playing like ****ing dog****. Not just missing all his shots, but terrible turnovers, bad shots, bad defense.

Dirk isn't going to allow these refs to take this game away from the Mavs. Officiating has been rough against the Mavs ever since the 06 finals, and these last couple games have been almost laughable, even causing the quiet J Kidd to feel compelled to speak up. If you can't objectively see it, you don't know basketball. This is pathetic.

Needed this victory bad.

I didn't get to watch much of the game last night but it sounds like a quality win hopefully that will get us back on the right track.

Another fun game to play at Mavs games is to watch Lamar, then pan to Khloe. She is texting or sighing 99% of the time.

No, it was around 5 minutes into the first quarter. Dirk got hacked on a shot, turned to the ref and yelled that.

It does feel like we cant catch a break, injury wise. Definitely not good to be down 2 centers going into the 9 in 12 stretch, but these teams they are losing to suck dick.

They need to figure out what is causing them to go to sleep in the 3rd quarter. The 3rd quarter used to be owned by the Mavs.

Also, JET not being in at the end of the game is a message sent to him by Carlisle: you aren't going in on name alone anymore...stop ****ing up our last possession offense.

I won't lose hope until we are knocked out this year. I feel like there is a good enough team in there to go back to back this year. It just depends if they figure it out in time. Jet will have to break out of his horrendous slump at sometime, or Roddy has to take the next step.

I actually think Lamar has had a good couple cames, could have easily had 6-10 more points on close shots that went in and out.
