A&M is still awaiting the home opener as they continue their schedule on the road in San Marcos. A&M will face Texas State on Wednesday at 7:30PM.

Texas State is currently 1-0-1, having tied UTSA 2-2 and beating UTRGV 4-1. Seems like an appropriate challenge for this young A&M team. A&M tied Texas State 1-1 at Ellis Field last year.

This game will stream on the PAC-12 Youtube channel... Naturally. Anyone even know who is in the PAC-12 anymore? Texas State apparently.

They got a new conference. And a new logo?

For a data point, TCU struggled to tie UTSA.

Also, this is A&M's first trip to San Marcos since 2001. The Aggies played two matches there when out field was water-logged.

Easily the best half of the season regardless of the opponent. Haven't given them any chances, and there has been a clear emphasis on playing more direct tonight. Seems like he might stick with the 442 diamond because they're in it again tonight vs a team playing with a front 2. 55 and 20 started up front. 16 at the top of the diamond, 8 at the base, 9 off the right, 3 off the left, and the same back 4 as last game which seems to be his preferred back 4. 14, 11, 6, 2 from left to right. In possession 2 at rb pushes up high and wide to allow 9 to shift inside and it looks more like a 343 shape. Love the CB partnership of 6 and 11. 11 is very good ok the ball and drives it forward well with purpose. Loved 9 playing off the right, seems like we just need to find someone to play off the left. 10 came in after the water break and played there. I think she's the ideal person there but she needs to find her footing and be willing to do the dirty work and run the hard yards. It was her mark that scored the goal on the free kick. 7 came in for 20 up topped and looked great also. Another fantastic half for 55 up top. The most exciting and athletic attacking five would probably be 55 and 20 up top with 7, 16, 9 behind them in the middle. But if 10 can figure it out, then we have 7 as a spark off the bench. Unfortunate to be tied at half when the score could easily be 3-0 in our favor. Total domination in the first half.
