Coaches have a say in the weather delay? I thought it was a flat time period of 30 minutes from the last lightning within 8 miles.

The post below is in reference to Kiffin's halftime speech:

It's interesting to peek behind the curtain.

Kiffin uses fear and shame as motivation. "They hate you", etc. Don't allow the other team to disrespect you by keeping your foot on the gas. It works.

Elko taps into that somewhat, but he's more football technical than emotional during his halftime speeches.

Does Kiffin's ability to motivate using players' emotions make him a great coach?

He's a sleazy piece of ***** I'm very glad he's not ours.

Actually when you are paying someone that much, you should expect both, a hell of a coach and a good representative for your university overall. They morals and standards at that school are not very high so it's understandable and Lane fits it perfectly.

How'd this workout for some of the past coaches at Michigan, Baylor and Penn State?

He's a terrible person, but that's a smart, tactical move to help win the game.

That school 90 miles west of here suits him to a T as well.

Good thing Monte passed away peacefully of old age. He would have died from shame if he saw what Lane has become.

The delay for lightning is 30 minutes. The warm up period of 90 minutes can be shortened.
