Because of last night, all of these teams have a chance to get CL football next season, this would be huge for some of them for financial reasons.

Marti is a guy that needs space. His struggles in EPL are because (a) Arteta pushes him to provide width vs cutting inside and (b) teams park the bus against us and give him no space. He does well in UCL because all of the games are more wide open. No doubt in my mind that he would excel in a different league. If he is willing to stay I want to keep him for CL, domestic cups (give the starter rest) and late game change of pace. For us that is where he is most useful.

Interesting..... so 5 of City's remaining games are against teams that have a need to win.

Arsenal have City + West Ham (fighting to avoid relegation). The rest are just finishing out the season.

He maximized his minutes, and we needed fiery Marti in a bad way.

Also, I'm more impressed with the touch by Kai every time I see a clip. Say what you want about him, but he's a cool customer in pressure situations.

Good result for us but I would be beyond mad if the Red was given against us. The Atletico striker stuck his leg back in a really unnatural motion to even get the contact. From his weird position of his trailing leg his forward motion was completely stopped he had no chance at the ball.

I think the Atletico player is trying to get the ball, which is bouncing up behind him. Or at least that's how it looks to me. So I would say he was making a natural move. But the question then is is it a DOGSO if he's not actually controlling the ball.

They are both going for the ball and 20 over runs it. Not a red for me. This is the kind of BS reds that we were getting Arteta's first couple of seasons.

I'm not sure I could sell it, but that's just a foul. No card at all. That offensive player doesn't have any chance of controlling that ball. He is carelessly clattered into.

The amount of dissent from the offensive team would be insane if you did that.

I give zero ****s when Barca get screwed by a red card. Its like the 1 in 100 times that happens. I'm still not over RvP getting a a 2nd yellow for taking shot a second after the whistle blew for offside when he was already in full stride.

I mean it makes sense, they can't get any time with the first team even when injuries pop up

Also claiming that we are targeting a versatile FB, CM & LW in the summer.

FB for me likely means Ben White replacement. In theory it could also mean that MLS is no longer in our LB depth and we plan to buy a new 5th FB that can play both side.

CM is interesting. Likely means that MLS is sold, loaned or is staying at LB permanently. Also means that there are likely atleast 1 player leaving at CM as we currently have 6 (Zubi, Rice, MO, Norgaard, Merino & Eze) with 2 others (Kai & Nwaneri) than could fill in there.

LW is a no brainer.
