Insanely frustrating game. We have controlled possession. We have had probably 6-8 good opportunities, but no quality shots to follow those up. Vandy has only had a corner we fell asleep on.

10 needs to come off. She's walking and taking up space and not fighting back after losing the ball.

Man you never know what you are going to get with this team when they take the field.

Since Quinn Cornog transferred from Vanderbilt we've lost 0-6 and 0-2. Today we gave Vanderbilt their first conference win, which we also did for Oklahoma. At home. This season is quickly turning into a disaster sprinkled with two wins that don't make sense.

We have midfielders who just don't play defense.

Such a flat performance, almost sleepy.

Bottom line is - G has to go. Thank you for 500 wins but now your team and the program is in the toilet. Watching what I just watched….mo way in hell I'd send my elite daughter to play for him unless it was my 10-15th option.

They don't play good offense either. Lol. Literally just standing around. Grace Ivy was just not even in the same league tonight as the others on the field.

The goalie and Armenta failed us on the second goal by Vandy. Armenta simply didn't get up for the ball. The goalie is all we have so enough said there. Move Armenta up to midfield.

Pounds is basically worthless out there. Pante was ok tonight. Wilkinson was solid. Bacerra was solid as well.

This loss really hurts the Aggies.

This is a mind boggling stat for a coach who had so much success in conference play before 2021. 35% winning percentage is not going to cut it at A&M.

Really disappointing loss tonight and puts A&M back on the bubble for the NCAA tourney. We had some players who were really ineffective out there and didn't show the kind of effort needed to win games. You would think we'd have some revenge on our minds after being embarrassed in Nashville last year, but nope, just let them waltz in and shut us out again in our own house. This team is just not consistent enough to warrant postseason play at this point.

Anyone know Fuller's status at goalie? Her athleticism and size are really needed.

A disappointing result. We miss Fuller. Frankly we would have been lucky to win tonight without her. I really don't want to pile on this team or the coach. Our GK and our left back had bad games. I don't think the rest of the team did that badly. They played hard for sure, breaking up Vandy's midfield passes, especially in H2. Not always pretty, but effective. Vandy's goals didn't come from clever passing and ball control.

However that post about our conference record... I had'nt realized it was so bad. Three years of mediocrity. Not a good look at all.

Being shut out for the second time in 3 games is baffling. We brought in transfers to score goals but only 1 of them played tonight. Most times the officials stay on the field and shake hands with the players but tonight they walked off quickly. Did they know they messed up?

Yeah. The color guy said it wasn't a penalty because she got a toe on the ball. Such a lack of understanding the laws of the game. If she doesn't take her down after the touch the Aggie is still getting to the ball.

Just watched a replay of this and I actually agree with the referee and commentators. That's not a pk in today's college soccer. The defender fairly touched the ball into the Aggie attacker before any contact and then the Aggie attacker touched the ball further away from herself.

I'm surprised nobody on the Aggie bench got a card. Bench conduct is the #1 POE this year in NCAA soccer. Ref probably didn't want to exacerbate any conflict by giving a yellow to the bench.

There is no cohesion in this team. The coach has got to go. It's just that obvious.

The recap on 12th man.com says defender that took Armenta down in the box had a fistful of jersey.

What frustrates me is things like our coach's post-game comment: "We didn't deserve to lose this game." That's not true. And it's not the message our players should be receiving. The team absolutely deserved to lose the game, for failure to commit to defending two crosses, for timid goalkeeping, and for failure to actually finish chances. How can they get better if they don't face the reality that they were soundly beaten two-to-nothing on their home turf by a team that was winless in the SEC?

If the standard is to just compete and have fun, then okay. Just say "we competed and it was fun, and it's too bad we lost." But if the standard is to win championships, then be realistic. You got drubbed at home by a bad team. You weren't "unlucky." You failed to do what it takes to win--i.e., score goals and defend well. You can say you had good effort. But you can't say you deserved to win. You didn't.

The consistent refrain from the coaches and the A&M communications group that the team only lost because it was treated unfairly is a key part of what's dragging this team down (and has for years now). If the players are taught (as they are, through these public statements) that losses are never because of them, but only because of what someone else did to them oh-so-unfairly, then they'll never improve.
