Sips leading SEC championship game.
Their first year in SEC play and tu wins the SEC Tournament!!! Are we still going to roll out the maroon carpet and throw a pizza party for Coach G before we fire him or are we going to make a move now that should've been made already. Or are we going to continue to drift away not just from the elite but from mediocrity.
We haven't won the sec tournament since 2017. Some of our players were in elementary at that time.

They probably don't even see us as a rival in soccer anyways, at least not a G coached team… we can't compete with them on the field nor on the recruiting trail
Then why was G sitting down the entire conference tourney game and why was he getting ejected from the LSU game and skipping press conferences if he wasn't on his way out…

Yay let's run it back! I'm sure we'll be even better without some of our top players returning! I'm sure transfers are going to want to come play for a coach who bashed his players and said he needed to get transfers who can actually score, then got transfers and ruined the ending of their soccer careers by not even playing any of them. Let's rely on multiple girls who haven't proved anything and are coming off ACL injuries. Maybe we can rely on recruiting, where that has been miserable too. Oh well… We're going to be fine, this programs future is fine. Let's all come out next fall and hope maybe this is the year out of the last 5 where we can maybe win 5 sec games!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous, now we know we have an AD in Trev Alberts who does not care about soccer and has no feel for what a winning soccer program is. And we have a stubborn coach who rather keep sinking this program into the ground because he's too prideful to realize he can't coach or recruit anymore at a high level…
This has to be a joke. Let's just continue to watch the program flush down the tank while being lead by a coach that coaches like it's still 1992.

Phil being let go would definitely help, but the problem is that most people don't know Phil is the head coach of the field players. So, from a recruiting and public-facing standpoint, it won't appear much has changed. Also, why would a really good coach be willing to come in as G's second? This just doesn't make sense.

This is really disturbing. G out on the recruiting trail. Crickets from Alberts.. why is this staff still employed? The longer this drags out the less chance a change occurs. So fine, lets run back the same old tired BS. It will serve them right if half the roster goes into the portal.
At this point it's safe to assume, he's getting another season of ineptitude (I'd imagine he'll be let go at the expiration of his contract)

TA is said to have been looking since mid-season. He knows a minivan or short bus will be required to transport players to the portal if it appears G will return.
G will be fired if/when TA has a replacement, even if the new coach announcement must be delayed until that coach's team finishes the NCAA tourney.
The sooner G is terminated, the sooner new excitement can begin to flourish.

That's just stupid. Not saying your comment is stupidity, that plan is stupid. If you have to wait 3 weeks to hire the next coach, there is no reason G needs to stay that long.

Assuming that's this year…I'm totally fine w this but if it goes another year, we'll have talent on par with the American athletic conference
