I don't worry about hypotheticals. There is no way he didn't agree to stay through the world cup. And if he does leave, he's a pos and you can't control that I don't think he is.

Isn't this what happens you hire a really good coach? Hiring someone because you know he won't have other options sounds like a terrible plan. Also, Poch is guaranteed to coach in the next World Cup since we're hosting and what coach wouldn't want a run in the cup on their resume? I'm quite confident he would stick out the next 2 years just for that.

Will we even care if he struggles in the friendlies and concacaf obligations before then?

...or.. USMNT could fizzle out early in the knock outs of our home World Cup in two years and we'll all wish Man U stole him six months or a year earlier. lol.


Let's just hope for the best. USSF went out and spent $$$ on a big name. I'm proud of them for doing it. Excited to see if he can go do something with this group now. Two years, but limited opportunities, to make it happen capt'n.
