I thought our two CBs played much better than they did Saturday. Scally too and he had the toughest assignment of the bunch. Jedi still doesn't look in great form. Hope he shakes that quickly.

Midfield was fine, but not nearly as lively as I've seen them in other good team performances. Wes looked out of sorts or uncomfortable to me. Gio and Musa were okay, but I can't wait for Adams to be able to provide more minutes.

The attacking line was our best group on the field I thought. Pepi didn't see much of the ball but he occupied defenders and opened up spaces for CP and Weah and pressured the Brazilians in possession well. We ran at the Brazilians all night and generated 7 shots on goal, which doesn't match what Brazil generated at the other end, but is still a lot for us vs a talented team.

All in all, it was a great rebound from Saturday and a good way to lead into Copa.

Agreed, although I think credit needs to be given to McKennie, Musah and Reyna on their defensive work, they really worked hard to assist on the wings and help protect the defense.

I think our best 3 midfielders are Adams, McKennie and Musah. I don't know where to put Gio, wish we would try him as a false 9 and take out the forward. But maybe he can't occupy the CD and then Puli and Weah get lost.

I thought our centerbacks played great, but especially Chris Richards. Really wish Bayern had hung on to him.

I thought Jedi's play was pretty disappointing from his normal standards. Midfield was kind of disappointing too but that's mainly because we hardly had any possession outside a couple of spells.

Weah didn't have his best game in my eyes but Pulisic had a heck of a performance.

Good to see them bounce back. Hopefully we can make some noise this tourney.

XG from game was Brazil 2.2 and USMNT 1.2. The xG for US was a bit lower than I would have thought, given Puli and Aaronson's chances. Would have expected a 2.4 to 1.6 type xG.

Midfield: B, I thought Weston did a lot of the dirty work helping protect the back line, defending passing lanes etc. I thought Musah tried to dribble too much in the defensive half. Gio had a good but not great showing.

GK: A-, questionable long kicks, excellent saves

Back line: B+, Ream and Scollay played well

Attacking players: B. Pulisic was good, need to finish the great chance in front of goal. Zero forced corners. Crosses into the box lacked quality. Good patience in final third for the most part.

I saw someone with our xG at 1.7 last night. Can't find it now.

Not sure how valid the stats are but these guys had US xG @ 1.48 and Brazil @ 2.87

The 1.7 might have been a mistake as I can't find anything above 1.5 now.

There is a margin of error to xG so it's pretty common to see slightly different numbers from different outlets.

Maybe a controversial take, but I actually like both of the Nike uniforms currently. I didn't like them at release and still don't think I'd ever buy them to wear myself, but they're bright and distinctively USA when you turn the game broadcast on.

Agreed, there are a lot of things I don't like about Berhalter, but telling your team to possess the ball against one of the most dangerous teams in the world isn't one of them.

The reason Turner doesn't see the pitch in the EPL was on full display on that goal. Terrible pass to the middle of the pitch.
