Both keepers had excellent games. Good opportunities and great saves.

Do we not have a CB with any speed?
I love Ream but dude has fallen off a shelf in terms of his play.
Hot takes that don't age well. He played phenomenally. .
But, other than those couple of times, you're right, Ream played really well, and that bodes well for the tournament…Rudyjax said:aggiephoenix02 said:Old Man Ream got beat at least twice that lead to breakaway 1 on 1 attacks on goal. Turner came up big both times…Rudyjax said:Rudyjax said:

Those guys beat everyone. But you're right.
If Turner isn't seeing the ball well, it's probably 5-1.aggiephoenix02 said:But, other than those couple of times, you're right, Ream played really well, and that bodes well for the tournament…Rudyjax said:aggiephoenix02 said:Old Man Ream got beat at least twice that lead to breakaway 1 on 1 attacks on goal. Edit: Maybe our defense isn't the worst, at least not 5-1 bad.
I think it was a teammate on Juventus, but even still, I wouldn't let my brother do that to me. LOLaggiephoenix02 said:
I saw that too, right before a corner. I couldn't tell if they knew each other, or if it was gamesmanship/housery…

If Musah(?) hits Pulisic at 1:13 it's a goal.
Yeah, you're probably right.Aston94 said:Rudyjax said:

Beautiful build up. It would have been an opportunity at goal, but lots of work left to do to call that a goal.

Was I also imagining that Weston before a corner had both his hands on Brazilian's shoulders and the Weston was smiling and the Brazilian didn't care?

Pretty quiet post-game here.
I thought our two CBs played much better than they did Saturday. Scally too and he had the toughest assignment of the bunch. Jedi still doesn't look in great form. Hope he shakes that quickly.
Midfield was fine, but not nearly as lively as I've seen them in other good team performances. Wes looked out of sorts or uncomfortable to me. Gio and Musa were okay, but I can't wait for Adams to be able to provide more minutes.
The attacking line was our best group on the field I thought. Pepi didn't see much of the ball but he occupied defenders and opened up spaces for CP and Weah and pressured the Brazilians in possession well. We ran at the Brazilians all night and generated 7 shots on goal, which doesn't match what Brazil generated at the other end, but is still a lot for us vs a talented team.
All in all, it was a great rebound from Saturday and a good way to lead into Copa.

Looking at the stats, we had no business tying this match.
-And also, Pulisic's stats were right up there with Vini and Rodrygo.
Except for the 5.jeffk said:Rudyjax said:

Stats are funny. Looking at Saturday's, we had no business losing 5-1.
What are we doing #USMNT?!? Gregg Berhalter takes a counter attack away and coaches the players to play the ball back. Turns into a Brazil goal. pic.twitter.com/WdBnfxJCV6

I am a GGG hater, but this guy is stupid. There is no obvious pass forward, so it is better to retain possession to play out of the back (like earlier in the thread). Matt Turner made a very poor decision, and that is what cost us. Not GGG saying pass it back which is the obvious pass at the time. Also that is very common for coaches to do. You should see Mikel Arteta. It is this x1000.Rudyjax said:

I thought I heard the announcer say the same thing, they were just messing because they are teammates.Rudyjax said:I think it was a teammate on Juventus, but even still, I wouldn't let my brother do that to me. LOLaggiephoenix02 said:

"Could've had a counter attack..."
Sir, do you know what that word means? It's not what you saw. That's just a guy who saw an opportunity to make a video of him yelling and sounding "smart" when he saw the US give up a goal after Berhalter told them to play it back to Turner.

The reason Turner doesn't see the pitch in the EPL was on full display on that goal. Terrible pass to the middle of the pitch.

Andre Onana would like a quiet word with you about EPL GKers who make terrible passes in the middle of the pitch.
