Not an unexpected result but wish we would've shown better in the 2nd half.
Did some good things offensively but defense looked soft.

Would like to see the lines with the defender on the top of the screen.fig96 said:
That offside call was tight, nice finish.

Odd to see Lacazette playing in the Olympics
Goals from older ringers should count as half.
Doesn't look too bad for the opening ceremonyjeffk said:
At least they don't have to wear whatever monstrosity Ralph Lauren has designed for us this cycle?

Yeah in the Men's tournament with only top 2 going through out of each pool it is a must win for US. Tie might be enough if France shows up for their match, but need to assume we need all 3 points.

Is France not playing the starters? Seems unlikely that NZL wins that one

Doesn't matter. You have to win to guarantee you advance.
France easily could've lost to Guiana.

France beat us
We crushed NZL
Guinea played France close.
I dont think France is going to be able to take it easy to start, but we should be playing to win for sure.
Not sure where you see transitive property in what I said.Rudyjax said:PatAg said:NZL beat GuineaRudyjax said:gougler08 said:Aston94 said:

Because the transitive property always works in sports.
We're more than likely to win and should win.
And France will probably win but we need to take care of business.

I was just pointing out that even though we beat New Zealand handily, they also beat Guinea. And then Guinea played France close, even though France beat us 3-0.
So my point was that, we can't count on France just easily beating New Zealand.
And just because we beat NZL who beat Guinea, we need to be playing to win.

Sorry. Reread it.
Midfielder Gianluca Busio (leg injury) is unavailable for the match against Guinea and will be replaced on today's 18-player roster by alternate Josh Atencio.#OlyMNT
