I'm still in shock over being able to host. The 4 wins over MSU, Bama, UT and USC must have been the deciding factor. Great job by the players to keep playing after the Vandy game. This will be the first NCAA tournament game I have missed since 2012. We have had several 1-0 home wins in the first round in the last decade, and 1 was won by Allie Bailey in OT. Very happy for all the players since making the tournament is a big deal. Don't know if Wilkinson or Smith have played in a tournament game but this will be the first one for Becerra, Armenta and Margo Matula. Hope it is the first of many.
