Texas Aggie Soccer travels to Auburn for a 6:30PM Friday match against the Auburn Tigers. The game will air, as usual, on SEC+ through the ESPN app. You can also stream the audio on the 12thMan app or on Radio Aggieland 97.3FM.

A&M is 9-4 against Auburn all-time. Last year's meeting was a 3-1 Aggie win in College Station.

Auburn is 6-5-3 on the season with a 2-3-1 mark in conference play. SEC wins came over Missouri (3-2) and Arkansas (2-1). Losses were to Mississippi State (0-1), South Carolina (1-2), and Alabama (1-2). They tied Ole Miss (0-0).

In total, Auburn has outscored opponents 21-16, but that drops to a 7-8 deficit in SEC play.

Senior midfielder, Anna Haddock leads the team in offensive stats with team highs in goals (4-tie), assists (5), and shots (34). Haddock has played every game at Auburn since her freshman year.

Senior Maddie Prohaska has started in goal for Auburn in all 14 games this season. She's allowed 16 goals, while totalling 43 saves. Auburn has 4 shutouts on the season. Prohaska also seized the starting role since the time she stepped foot on campus.

Finally, some names I remember from previous years and not just a roster full of transfers. Although, Auburn could benefit from some new blood as they continue to flounder as a program.

Auburn beat Arky at home in their last game, so they are no cake walk especially at home. Our last road game was one of the worst games we have ever played as a program. We bounced back at home, but we need to get right on the road as we need 3 points here.

Chris Henderson of All White Kit put out his first Bubble Watch and wrote this about us:
"Texas A&M looked dead and buried with a 60 loss to Vanderbilt on Thursday but responded by shocking Alabama for their biggest win of the season. Given earlier results against Kentucky and Mississippi State, A&M should be in... If they finish at .500 and in RPI bubble range which aren't sure things."

Seemed like a lot of our forwards had trouble controlling the ball with their first touch. Smith and Pante each had a great opportunity to win the game. Good game by Caldwell.

I wish that Caldwell would figure out how to put her long kicks into play. It seems most of them end up being kicked to the opposing goalie.

For the most part A&M played well and probably deserved to win the match. There were a few really good touch passes forward that needed to be finished in front of goal. A tie on the road isn't a bad result, but we're getting late and we need wins to secure a spot in the NCAA tourney.

Smith and Pante have got to bury those opportunities

She's coached to try to score directly off those long free kicks.

The odds, of course, are incredibly low. But she's scored one, so they keep doing it. It's a waste of a free kick nearly every time.

Just needs to put some back spin on them and they will drop in perfectly

The terrible kickoff play we run needs to end now, that works at U7 and thats about it
