It was a good weekend for Liverpool Football Club. We took care of business on Sunday and since both teams couldn't lose, the Arsenal - Man City produced the most favorable result, a lethargic 0-0 draw.
We have 48-51 days (depending on Europa League progression) left in the Jurgen Klopp era. 11-14 total matches remaining, 9 in the EPL and 2-5 in the Europa League with Klopp having 5-6 matches left at Anfield.
Despite the (imo fluke) FA Cup disappointment, this team continues to have it all to play for. They are in the driver's seat in the EPL and favorites to win the EL. I hope they are soaking it all in and enjoying this last run. Because Klopp certainly looks like he is. There is a calmness about him and this team at the moment and, from the outside looking in, there is joy in the way they play. Klopp spoke to it a bit in his post-match remarks, but they don't ever seem to be panicking. When Welbeck scored early yesterday, I thought "Well, guess we are doing it the hard way today." I never felt that we would draw or lose, it was just a matter of time before we took control. And the shots kept pouring in (Salah had 12 shots yesterday, the most in an EPL game since Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2017 and I back that guy to score in every game).
What I wouldn't give to be at Anfield on May 19 for that last game at Anfield. Exciting 2 months ahead!
