I thought this was a good article talking about how Timber would be deployed as a right back who would tuck in narrowly when on offense, forming something of a 3 man midfield with the DM and left back. Really fits into what Arteta seems to prefer

Assuming that is the plan that is simply shifting to double pivot inverted FBs so that we run a 2-3-2-3 in attack vs the current 3-2-2-3. I feel like we could have done this some with White. He shows the potential with his overlaps and combo play with MO & Saka. My biggest concern is OZ's poor defense. His offense is stellar as an inverted LB but his defense causes us issues.

That's why I liked in the front of last season when OZ got 60, we scored some goals and the KT came in to shore up the defense for the final 30

Tifo assessment of Havertz from when he was 19. Their account of his strengths and tendencies sound like the perfect Xhaka replacement.



If he adjusts and we can get one of Vieira & ESR to step up we could be looking at a very strong 3 man rotation for the CM/AM spots.

Key issue I see here is the expectation from WH that the transfer be paid in MAX 2 installments. That is a near impossible ask for most teams given the amounts being discussed.

See anything on terms yet? We have already bid 80+10 and 75+15 but WH didn't like the add-ons or installments. In theory we just have to match whatever City offered (assuming WH accepts) and we should win out because Rice has already agreed to join us. So now we wait and see how WH responds.
