Yeah, I guess I'm just a realist about it. If Bayern don't think he's good enough to be in their senior team in the next few years, that's obviously not great, but if that's true I'd rather see him get transferred ASAP rather than languish in their reserves or even on loans. Get him somewhere where they'll invest in his development because they want to utilize him long term.

I think CL teams in poor leagues (Rangers Salzburg etc) are great development clubs for attacking players because they're gonna get CL matches against elite players that challenge them to get better, and they're gonna get domestic matches against minnows where they can run wild and build confidence.

For sure, I just wonder about the value of that (or at least a club like Rangers who likely aren't going past the group stage) vs a lower level Bundesliga club where he'd get better competition week in week out.

Some of that, sure… but I've never seen that last one. And I agree with watke - I can't believe the thrower didn't just chuck the ball at him. I'd have aimed for his hands and gotten a free kick out of it.

Hoppe seems like a grade A dick, but I'm with Ken - he's our dick, so I like him.

Only time I ever really have a problem with it, is when its clear the player has no control over their emotions when they are doing it. Then it can take them out of the game, or cause them to get cards/make bad plays. Im not sure where he falls in that regard yet,

He is developing the Dark Arts of soccer, something a LOT of our National Team players stand to improve. If the little things can get under the opponent's skin, and officials do nothing about it (psst - they don't and won't) then its part of the game. Sue, if that's an opponent doing that it's going to bug the **** out of me but when it's my guy, well then it's all good.

Meh. I don't care if he plays for my team or not…that kind of behavior is just annoying to watch.

I'm fine with it as long as that's not the only thing Hoppe's bringing to the table.

Watching Hoppe lay there, like when Peter falls down in Family Guy, kills me.
