Ok, I'm finally recovered enough to talk about that match. Just, wow.

Top to bottom our team showed out the entire match. I've been critical of Lima but he pocketed world superstar Bale all match and had his game of the season, and the rest of our defense was outstanding. We didn't allow a shot on goal till around minute 60.

***undez was fantastic, Ring and Pereira absolutely shut down the center of the midfield, Stuver came up huge a few times, and Driussi was Driussi. My god that turn...

Was at the match tonight and can't believe we dropped that one.

The supporters section was rocking after the delay, I just knew we would find away to get some points.

No bueno.

Ref tilted hard towards Nashville, but we only looked threatening for the first 10-12 minutes.

Already down 2-0. Couldn't be a worse time to be playing our worst soccer.

So that was a nice cap to an awful sports day.

Obviously really missed Driussi, thought him coming on late was odd but found out on Reddit that him making an appearance knock off a game for his yellow card tally.

While I appreciate what Cascante has brought to the attack he's becoming more and more of a liability on defense. His positioning is becoming more and more suspect, I'm tempted to start Keller or Romana over him at this point. Keller is a future star but needs the game time minutes to get better.

That said no one was really good last night. Gabrielsen's the own goal, Lima's positioning on the second was awful, Ring was generally poor, just bad performances all around. We couldn't get anything going in attack and didn't finish the good chances we had, if we just out one of those in after halftime it totally changes the match.

Without Driussi pulling the strings we couldn't generate much offense, would've liked to have seen ***undez shifted central with Corozo or Rigoni on that left wing. Either way we're in slumping in a bad way but still have time to get things figured out before the playoffs start. Time for Wolff to earn his paycheck.

After the first 10 minutes that match was pretty damn boring until minute 60 and suddenly Djitte could do no wrong. Every ball to him just fell at his feet, he was finding space, making the right runs. For a guy that's had a rough season you love to see it.

And how much of a genius does Wolff look like, brings on his third string striker who then knocks out a hat trick in 22 minutes. Crazy.

That was amazing to witness. Stuver was nails in the first half or the game could have easily been out of reach. We have so many people who are willing to make the extra pass, at some point you want somebody to SHOOT. Djitte filled the bill nicely.

It seems Djitte for Urruti might make us more threatening in the first half as Maxi has been off lately. And w Rigoni starting out wide, that makes the defense spread out a bit...

I think they fill different roles, I like Maxi starting because of the energy he brings, his workrate is off the charts and he can create something out of nothing. Djitte is a beast and does a better job physically occupying defenders which can have an even bigger effect later in a match like we saw Wednesday.

I think it'll depend a lot on how the other team is set up, Nashville had an excellent game plan for us last week and we saw similar things from Portland. I'm interested to see what Wolff can do to counter that.

And agreed, Stuver was the unsung hero in that match and totally kept us in it.

A little bit of rotation in the midfield last night. And djitte starting up front. Nothing really going until the normal starters subbed in the 59th. Immediate impact after that with Diego putting a great corner right at the feet of Driussi.
