I remember in the late '90s when we'd have other teams do that type of stuff to us, but we NEVER returned the favor.

He is just 20.

We have a lot of good young forwards between Pulisic, Reyna, Hoppe, Dyke, Weah, De la Fuente. All have played in very high leagues.

Dempsey was a good intimidator, but certainly wasn't the first.

Alexi Lalas was the first guy to bring the knife fight attitude to USMNT.

Pablo Mastroeni was despised by every opponent.

I was just thinking the other day (when Two Princes rolled across my phone) that I've effectively mentally merged 1994 Lalas and (checking Wikipedia) Chris Barron into one ginger pop culture figure. Lalas has aged much better.
