Man we need more of our youth playing in Europe. For the fitness if nothing else.
Seemed like a lot of contact on the turnover but never got a second look.PatAg said:
That was so good from Hoppe and equally pathetic from Roldan there
I think he was fouled. The problem was mental. He just sat there waiting for the defense. Run to daylight and kill off the clock.fig96 said:Seemed like a lot of contact on the turnover but never got a second look.PatAg said:

Played it slow, had an easy through ball back to Hoppe. The last thing you want to do, given the timing of the play, is turn it over right there. If you over hit it, its not the end of the world.fig96 said:Seemed like a lot of contact on the turnover but never got a second look.PatAg said:

Berhalter isn't so bad, he's still finding the team he wants for the World Cup. This roster and tactics are just experiment and preparation...PatAg said:
With the roster we chose, vs what the other top countries brought, winning the group is a great result.
Still a lot to work on, including for Berhalter. Some players have played well, and deserve more looks. Some players have made it clear they probably dont belong in any WorldCup Qualifying (unless they just make massive improvements during their club season)
Our overall player pool is so young, I imagine the 23 is going to be somewhat volatile between now and the World Cup itself.
Didn't we just win some Nations League tournament or something? Or is what we did not "good"?PatAg said:
I would say that about a coach who has proven to be good. He hasnt really done that. I'm not saying he can't, but it would be good for him to show that ability at some point.
Now you seem to be confusing results with evaluating how get the result. Do you just join threads like this to argue?aggiephoenix02 said:Didn't we just win some Nations League tournament or something? Or is what we did not "good"?PatAg said:

I was the third poster on this thread you turkey. Maybe another less preposterous idea is that I support our coach and what he's doing...PatAg said:Now you seem to be confusing results with evaluating how get the result. I'd like to see Hoppe start in the quarterfinals.
Dang near one of the best defenders and midfielders too. Dude is everywhere.Kevin the 3-legged dog said:PatAg said:

He seems to be the most creative attacking player.
There was a match that kicked at 9:30 there last week. And I have no idea.RealTalk said:
Why the heck are the other 2 matches today being played at 9 PM? The games are in Dallas.
Winner winner chicken dinner! Spot on. This is the perfect tournament to see who might be called up during the WCQ's and to work on things tactically. I wouldn't read a thing into the Gold Cup. It's pretty clear who is going to be picked for the vital games. This is a chance for others to give Berhalter something to think about.aggiephoenix02 said:
Yeah, his tactics have a lot of area in which they could improve.
As much as we want to win another Gold Cup (me especially), this is a throwaway tournament to evaluate talent for the real tournament.
That's the plan, baby! He's gonna get'r done...jeffk said:
we're on a pretty decent winning streak and have some outstanding talent in the player pool, so maybe he figures this all out and we have a great cycle.
