Seeing the same thing. Doesn't have the coordination for this level. Most likely due to blowing past guys and winning headers all over the place. While it can be developed, it's certainly the main thing holding him back at the moment.

You're seeing the right things.

He has got by with athletic skills and never had to focus on technique. He's big, strong, and can jump. That's got him by but he needs to improve. Seems like a guy that has never played basketball.

Liking this aggressive lineup. Players seem to enjoy pinning their ears back over sitting back. Probably going to give up a dumb goal from time to time but I think we'll take it as long as offensive is scoring

Dike is 21 and grew up playing in Oklahoma, he probably didn't get any high level coaching til he was in college. He does show the physical abilities and nose for goal that no one else in the US pool seems to have at the moment though.

He's not awful either, it's just definitely a spot to work on. The part I find promising is I think he has the right idea a lot of the time just isn't quite pulling it off. Which to me means he has a good soccer brain and is recognizing the opportunities, as opposed to just being an athlete that gets into position but doesn't really have any intrigue to his game

It's a young line up, let'em go. If they were vets then add more strategy, but with a young team, let them play with no restrictions.

This is a practice tournament anyway, right? No ConFed Cup slot on the line, right?

I feel like there's some disconnect between Busio and Acosta on who needs to step up a little further in the field to pressure.
They're basically both playing kind of more withdrawn, essentially but then Sands is also pushed up where we're almost playing with three defensive mids and I feel like it's giving Canada a little bit too much time on the ball in the middle third

Acosta and Busio definitely sitting back too far with Sans. Certainly clogging the middle but allowing Canada to hold the ball on the wings without much pressure. The there's no one pushing forward on the counter. Hard to tell if thats the plan or players are already tired

Potentially both, early on both Vines and Moore were getting forward and giving us width.

Like to see us start the 2nd with good progressive play and pressing again. Then make subs around 15 minutes in if players are tired, or we need tactical adjustments

I was in the room here one day... watchin' the Mexican channel on TV. I don't know nothin' about Pele. I'm watchin' what this guy can do with a ball and his feet. Next thing I know, he jumps in the air and flips into a somersault and kicks the ball in - upside down and backwards... the dang (sc) goalie never knew what the hell hit him. Pele gets excited and he rips off his jersey and starts running around the stadium waving it around his head. Everybody's screaming in Spanish. I'
