I know I harp on it, but that penalty was everything wrong with soccer in the span of a few seconds,
A flop, a play with probably less than a five percent chance to score is gifted a 75 percent chance to score because the spor has a one size fits all rule in the box, little scoring so it has a disproportionate effect on the game, no VAR in an international tournament, and in the end, Mexico essentially cheats their way to a win. Oh and watch the time wasting kick in, for which no time will be added and no one will be carded.
Sometimes I don't know why I watch CONCACAF, combine all that with the overall level of play in this tournament, and it's a joke.
