First half wasn't bad at all. Managed to avoid the defensive gaffe. Let's see if we can dodge it again in the second half.

Fellaini has been our best outfield player and it really isn't even close.

But the mentality and confidence of the team is growing. A lot of positive play.
Let's see how we do away to City next weekend before we start talking about mentality and confidence. A good step in the right direction but we need to start putting 5 and 6 steps together without taking one back.
Rooney picked up a knock in training and might not be available for City on Sunday.

Thats the big reason a draw for this Manchester United team is such a huge victory and shows me they are moving in the right direction especially after the first half when we all but owned chelsea and if not for some outstanding goal keeping from chelsea we would have been up 2-0 going into half.

Van Gaal is using him like the Belgians use him more of a CAM than a CDM he is night and day better when attacking and playing off the ball than when he is trying to play that holding role at the back end of the midfield.
This is one reason i am glad he wasnt sold and i hope Van Gaal continues to use him.
Agree though if I'm being picky, I'd call him a true box-to-box midfielder as opposed to a CAM (at least in his most recent roles). Some of his best plays against Chelsea were inside his own area dispossessing Chelsea players and he completely marked Fabregas out of the game...but he was also able to get into the attack quite well. Just a fantastic performance over all. He'll have another tough challenge against Toure this week (assuming he starts) but if he puts together another 3-4 consecutive appearances like that, it could be one of the greatest turnarounds for a player ever.

I doubt this is true. There's no reason to agree to such a thing so early in the loan deal...especially for a guy that is having fitness issues and hasn't started a game yet (I don't think).

Falcao started the West Ham game aside RvP up top and Rooney behind them. I'm guessing we will see that again this weekend assuming Falcao is healthy since Mata hasn't really done much in Rooney's absence.
That said...I agree, let the loan play out a little longer before agreeing to those terms.

Moyes did a lot of things last year without much success. Given it's a road game and how well Blind and Fellaini have been performing recently, I don't think he plays 2 up front. You play 2 up front, you gotta drop either Blind or Fellaini. We'll see I suppose.
