I see references to a maroon and white board, but no pics. Do you have pics of it, and I just missed them somewhere? Seems like a dark cherry contrasted with a white oak or birch, would be a good fit for Aggies.

Check out the first post again. About halfway down there is an example of one under the section titled "New 7-3-19". Then also further down toward the end of the first post, in the section of engraving examples there is an order of 5 maroon and white boards. Those boards give a better representation of the variation that might occur on the color of the "maroon" wood, but it's a pretty good maroon.

I actually have a large maroon and white already in production right now that isn't currently dedicated to an order. I could add your desired options and get it finished up in about a week if you give me the go ahead.

What are the dimensions on the board?

All of this info is in the first post of this thread, but I'll post it again here because I realize that first post is pretty long and a lot of information to wade through.

These are some standard sizes and prices that I came up with just to make things easy, but I can really make one any size you want, and will just price it accordingly.


Standard Small board is approximately 8" x 10, and is $40.
Standard Medium board is approximately 12" x 18", and is $80.
Standard Large board is approximately 16" x 24", and is $120.

No worries. We were busy getting the kid prepped and moved to College Station(she's transferring in Biomed major). It's still on my radar. In fact, I may want something for my son and his wife. He's active Navy (Submarine fleet) and they just bought their first house.

Sorry, I missed your question. Yes I actually can make a board like that. I wanted to add end grain boards to my options, and I already have my first end grain board in production, I just haven't finished it yet. Hopefully I'll get that finished up and unveil it soon. Just a heads up, end grain boards will cost more than my standard pricing structure because they have more cuts, more waste, more glue ups, and more sanding.

The board you posted is just an end grain board in a cool pattern, but other than that, nothing impossible. If you seriously want one, let me know and we can talk about the exact design you want.

Can you do end grain steak plates (boards). I'm about to drop some coin on new custom steak knives and figured I need bad ass "plates" to eat off of. I don't want the steel dragging across porcelain.

Last bump before Christmas. My inventory stock is dwindling and I updated the first post to reflect what I have left. This week (now until Saturday) is the last chance to snag a board from me, or have me ship it, since I will be out of town the 22nd-25th.

I'd be interested in this one.

How much am I looking at for something like this? And how much time would you need to deliver it?

To recreate that board exactly would be $205, which is definitely pricey, and I would like to break down how it gets to that amount. Just so everybody can see it.

The base price on that board was $155 (size wise it was in between my standard medium and large)

Add for juice groove is $10

Add for copper handles is $40.

Total = $205


The biggest additional cost there is obviously the copper handles. They cost me $32 just to buy the materials, and I'm only charging $8 for my time of acquiring that material, fabricating the handles, drilling the board, and installing them.

That being said, I can do a cheaper set of pre-made, plain black handles that screw on for only $10.

Or the same board could be made without any handles and would only cost $165 total, but would have a deep chamfer cut on the bottom side to help pick it up easily. It just wouldn't really be "reversible" any more.

I wanted to answer that here in the open just so everybody knows that boards can be configured with different options to make it how you want, but also while keeping budget in mind.



Also, my lead time on customs orders is usually about 4 weeks, but right now all custom orders are looking at about 6 week lead time with the holidays coming up.

Big Big BIG BUMP!

It's been a long while since I've updated this, but I'm still here cranking out boards. I just did a big update to the first post. LOTS of new stuff updated, so please take a few minutes to scroll through the entire post. I have new options added such as epoxy filling on engraving, lots of boards I've completed to give new ideas/examples, and new designs added such as the Texas flag board. I Also updated boards currently for sale.

I've got 2 of these and they are awesome. Great craftsmanship and a great product.
