I only met Dr Hesby a couple of times, but his wife was my high school English teacher, and she had a great impact on my life. I feel for her now. Just great people in every way.

Dr. Hesby was what I wish all my professors had been. He took a genuine interest in the education of his students and their development as individuals. He was a great teacher and a very nice man. Any of his students will tell you what a great loss this is.

This is just real tough to swallow. Dr. Hesby was such a great man and an EXCELLENT asset to Texas A&M University and the Animal Science Department.

Really at a loss for words......... Thank you for everything you did for everyone. You have touched many lives.

Dr. Hesby was one of the best to ever step foot on campus. He truly cared for every person he ever met, and would do absoulutely anything ethical to help anyone out, not just the "Hesby Kids", but everyone. I really am glad that I didn't have to go to Kleberg today, because I don't think I could have made it. I will never forget this man, and he taught so many ags, even 2 generations of some families.

Very big influence on my life and that of many of my friends. One of the few profs that I continued to consult after college days. Wonderful guy and great role model for the rest of us.

107, BBQ, advisor...great man to meet in my early days at A&M. Sad day. Touched my life, would not have gotten my degree if not for his influence.

He was a great man. My wife worked for him at Kleiberg, and he ment the world to both of us. I truely feel blessed to be able to call him a friend.

A great individual who "adopted" 1000's of Aggie kids as his own. Influenced countless lives. A SAD day.

My Favorite saying of his was "Never let the classroom get in the way of your education" Meaning there is so much more you can learn outside of the class room.

I had him for Feeds and Feeding and the BBQ class but more importantly as an advisor and mentor,,,,,

Went on one of the field trips across south Texas during Christmas break.

What a great loss. I went to the "open" door of Dr. Hesby's office on several occassions for advise. What a great person and educator. He will be missed.
