The mascot thread made me wonder; did anybody else's HS use the Aggie War Hymn as its fight song?

Mine didnt, but there are thosands that use ND's fight song. I got so tired of hearing that song. One year we played against four straight teams with that fight song. Thank goodness ours was an original.
San Angelo Central uses "On Wisconsin" and San Angelo Lakeview uses the Notre Dame Fight Song.
the only other time ive heard the Aggie Fight SOng from another school is on Varsity Blues.

A school in district 11-5A, North Garland, uses the Aggie Warhyem. I played against them and hated it.
Poteet High School in Poteet, Texas uses the Aggie War Hymn. They're also called the "Poteet Aggies."
i believe sealy uses it too.
East Bernard HIgh School uses the War Hymn
Bangs Dragons, Dublin Lions, Jayton Jaybirds
West Canon Coyotes.
North Grand Prairie's Alma Mater is "Happy Birthday".
It's West Canaan Coyotes, and a real life team the Riesel Indians of 2A fame used it up until 2002 and then I don;t know...

one of the Bryan/Brennam high schools uses it... cuz they wouldn't stop playing it when they kicked our ass back in the day :P
Poteet used to be the Pirates in the late 80s and their fight song was in the Navy by the Village People.

I think yall are talking about two different Poteet's. One in Poteet, TX and the other in Mesquite, TX. The one in Poteet is the Aggies. The one in Mesquite is the Pirates.

My daughter's senior year, they played Haltom High in the playoffs. Haltom's fight song was "Texas Fight". We beat 'em ... Damn it felt goooooooooooooooood !!!

Pittsburg High School (3A)
Pittsburg uses the War Hymn (whoop)...band also marches military style! PHS also uses Notre Dame's fight song as their school song (just slows it down A LOT).

Poteet H.S. in Mesquite is a different school with a different mascot.
And I know a guy from Elgin who says they do, indeed, use the Aggie War Hymn.

Dansville High School up here in Lansing Michigan are known as the Dansville Aggies, but their mascot is a Stallion. They do not use the war hymn to my understanding.

well, it wasn't Bryan. i never once heard the Bryan band play it while i was in high school there. never heard Consol play it either.

in Dallas, Hillcrest High School's Alma Mater is to the same tune as the Aggie War Hymn
AS SIX IRON SAID BRYAN definetly doesn't use it.
I believe the Rockwall, TX Yellow Jackets use a version of the war hymn.
The Springhill Panther's in Longview,Texas
Petersburg (NE of Lubbock) used the War Hymn for a fight song. Or perhaps they used "Goodbye My Coney Island Baby".
My old HS used Ohio State's "Across the Field" whatever the heck that was, for a fight song, and "Eyes of Texas" with appropriate stupid HS lyrics for the school song.
