It's crazy that we are finally allowed to pay players and we still can't put a good team on the field.

Post of the decade.
Very under-appreciated....
Are we sure that for our school it is crazy? I think we have been cheap for decades. I'm not sure why anyone thinks otherwise to be honest. Just look a the Kyle FrankenRebuild.

A better question is whether there is a path to fixing it or not.

The AD needs to bite the bullet and fire Elko. I don't care how improved Reed was after the 2 INTS. Pure stupidity not making the change at QB several games ago!

His accuracy numbers might have been better, but he still fumbled the ball three times after the two ints.

Yeah 3 turnovers and a lot of critical mistakes aren't made up for with good accuracy after weeks of crap throws. He's a net negative and a cinder block tied to a drowning team. He needs to be cut loose.

I was on a little league team with a coach who had his kid pitch every game, and he was ****ing awful. If he wasn't walking in runs until we were mercy ruled, he is was giving batting practice with absolute ducks. We lost every single game, and I quit baseball because it was such a ****ty and hopeless experience. Going to a game, you knew were going lose by 15+ runs and no matter what you did it wouldn't make a difference.

This feels a lot like that.

We haven't lost to Army since I was in the Army. The worst going back to work Monday ever, and that include numerous Mondays after Thanksgiving. The game you're talking about was played in the Alamodome and we did everything we could to throw the game, but Army wouldn't let us give it away. We really didn't win, just had more points won the clock expiredm
