I don't mind the DJ but miss hearing the band play. While at the game I can not hear the band except for the war hymn, but going back and watching the broadcast I can hear the band playing. This has actually been like this the last few seasons for us.

Back in the '40s were "old" Ags complaining about the Yell boys and their newfangled gyrations and yells?

(Full disclosure, I'm not a fan of new Kyle, and think it was a better game day experience prior to in-stadium alcohol sales and the advent of the smart phone. Oh well, games are for the students, not olds).

Anything change yesterday? I listened to the ESPN radio broadcast and couldn't really tell.

Crowd sounded really loud in the first half at least.

From where I was sitting the volume of the noise from the dj seemed to be a little lower. Hope that continues. Last week was terrible.

Dj played "You never even called me by my name" from "I was drunk the day my mom got out of prison"....all the way to the end, so I guess that's an improvement

It's time for a paradigm shift.
We need the money that comes with the cost of a full-price ticket and donation.

Reduce the student capacity by 1/2, retrofit the lower east side, get donation money and ticket revenue for the seats. Lose the dj, bring back the band, cater to the consumer, the person that is paying full-price for being there.

When the DJ cuts out before the play starts it's such a drop off… we're no longer the loudest crowd but we might be the loudest DJ. The DJ takes life away from the crowd. The old Gig em Aggies at kickoff that's dead now is such a bummer.

It's sad that we talk of our traditions and how sips are fair weather fans, etc, but I can hear the sip band on tv. When watching the Ags, I can hear blasting DJ music. Things are upside down.

Yes, because the team ultimately belongs to the students and the players. .This is their time in college, Yours, mine, and everyone else's is gone. We're just hanging around because we can.
