I posted this on another thread but wanted to make it a topic

I get playing some music and all of that, but the constant dance club beat turned up to 11 every time there was a pause in the game/band was totally out of control.

I get it. They think that younger generations cant handle not being constantly stimulated and are scared of their own thoughts. But a few seconds of quiet is ok. I have more faith in them than that.

Turn it down about 1/3, cut the total amount of songs by half, and dont have everything on the same AI generated beat.

It got pretty miserable where we were sitting. Exhausting

Fortunately and unlike last year between plays as the clock was live he was pretty quiet. That was the only improvement.

Edit to add- one thing I used to enjoy about going to games was meeting the people around me. Where they're from, what year they graduated..etc. Those days are over. I didn't see a single person talking to anyone near them that wasn't with them. You would need a bullhorn for anyone to hear you.
I don’t say this in a braggedocious way. But it’s true. I’ve been right about everything.

Have your grandkids set you up with some noise canceling headphones.

Or you could just take out or turn off your hearing aids.

It makes it easier for those that don't want social interaction. You can just dance to the beat in your own world and escape talking to those around you.

I must have been in the restroom when he played music.

Wow It was borderline ridiculous the stuff they played. Must be catering to all the students. I've been to iconic out of state stadiums where the theme is more classic rock and it's just kick ass.

Don't change a thing. The more old age come to complain about it on Texags means the more it's working. Keep going harder with the DJ. The audience aint for the old ags. They're there for the product on the field.

It's not just Kyle Field, they do this at the Texans games as well. Between every play they blast something.

When the game is boring it gets aggravating. It's doesn't bother me as much if it's a tense game.

It isn't just the junk he plays, it's the volume. Young parents in our section have to bring hearing protection for their young kids. It's deafening.

It's out of control. I don't mind the hype music but it's too much, and definitely too loud depending on where you're sitting. Also, playing it until after a kickoff happens has basically killed the tradition of the "Gigem Aggies" yell that we used to do at kickoff

I think his intent for cut is to mean 'subtract', not divide. But I still applaud what you did there!

Cue old man yelling at clouds.
My demon woke me up this morning and said bruh, I'm tired... So I handed him a Red Bull and said come on little buddy, we got bridges to burn and chaos to spread.

You mean you did not appreciate the multiple times he played Whoomp! (There It Is)?

Seriously though, the music was doing nothing for the crowd. The only song that people halfway got into was the last verse of You Never Even Called Me by My Name. Otherwise, he would play a song and they would show one person on the big screens slightly dancing.

Every time the crowd starts to get loud, the music starts and people quiet down. I just don't get the point of the music when it negatively affects the atmosphere.

Absolutely.

Between them and the drunks it's definitely not a family friendly environment anymore

It's pretty much exactly like an NFL game.

this idea that it's a bunch of olds yelling at clouds is nonsense.

The first thing I do when I get to my seat is take out my hearing aids and it is still deafening in section 308. IMO that noise adds nothing to the game day experience, just the opposite.

The song selection has been the same for the last few years. At least change it up.

I don't care about the type of music they play but just because you can turn the bass up to the point of distortion doesnt mean you have to.

I could be mistaken, but isn't it the same DJ who does the Texans games? That's where that idiotic, "that's a fightin Texas Aggie"....."FIRSTDOWN" comes from. Leave that **** in Houston where it belongs, along with the ****ty music. It's a college football game, not a rave.

Oh, and stay off my lawn!!!

There are various earplugs made for concerts and social events that reduce noise levels while keeping most of the clarity. Haven't used any yet, but have thought about it for some sections at Kyle that have speakers nearby

The game-day atmosphere is for the students. A plurality of them like to listen to their music and treat the game like a party before they go out and get drunk and hook up. Get over yourselves if you don't like it.
