I think he's doing a great job but there are a lot of people here who complain about him constantly. These people seem to have no clue how high the stakes are right now.

Letting tu in was enough to can him.

Didn't you watch last weeks SEC shorts? They are taking "Intro to colors" classes.

He has shown he will protect Texas, Bama, Tennessee, and UGA at the expense of schools like A&M and LSU.
Bama rostered and played a pro basketball player in 5 games. Bama continued to play their star basketball player who was charged as an accomplice in a homicide.
Sankey did nothing.
Texas rostered a NFL player who went to multiple rookie minicamps
Tennessee football has had more infractions in the last decade than any SEC school. They were granted a TRO and injunction against the NCAA for recruiting violations admitted to by Nico Iamavalea
UGA has had dozens of players arrested for crimes that included deaths of staff members.
Not a word from the SEC about those schools.
LSU is the problem for recruiting one player who never stepped foot in an NFL training camp, and another player who was waived and paid back his signing bonus. These players have not played a snap for LSU, they are not currently on the roster.

I don't think what LSU and Lane did was right, but the punishment doesn't justify the crime.

I like many others thought the "LSU out of the SEC conference" talk was just posturing, until now.

It is clear that the courts have left conferences with no ability to enforce their own rules. The only rule that a court could not overturn due to the bylaws of being a member is membership itself. The only chance the conferences have of making and enforcing rules is to have a cautionary tale of what happens when the nuclear button must be hit. I think this could be LSU's FAFO moment.

Add on top of that LSU putting Sankey on the stand for 3 hours and the embarrassing comments from the LSU side post trial, and the chances that the other schools take the ultimate punishment against LSU just became much more real.

Tulane their ass.

The DT that wants to play for LSU got paid $190 for gas money from the Saints before he got injured. Why should he be treated different then the Texas guy or the G league players?

Now the sitting US senator from Louisiana is weighing in. LSU has become a total embarrassment. This is going to blow up in their face.

This is just leverage for the penalties coming. They won't be expelled but Sankey gonna send a message for the drama.

I'd tell them this: If they fail to comply with conference rules then their FB program is declared ineligible for conference play for this season and all their games will count as 0-1 forfeits

They haven't broken any rules yet, but Sankey wants to threaten expulsion. The lawsuit from LSU against the SEC and other members would become a nuclear option if that happens. LSU could prove collusion if Sankey already has the votes lined up to remove LSU on Thursday.

SEC is just making threats to get LSU in line. Sankey and Birmingham have no intention of dealing with the repercussions that would come from it.

And they are cheering this yokel on clueless to the fact there are 20 US Senators from SEC states other than Louisiana

you lie.

Sankey and the NCAA fought his eligibility.

the SEC didn't sue Alabama because Alabama didn't coordinate a lawsuit against the SEC first.

LSU is not being "punished" with this threat because the players wanted to play there and got a court order. it goes far beyond that. be honest for one moment and that is clear.

Collusion between voluntary members of a sports conference? Yeah no. They already announced the 15 schools have met to discuss how to handle their rogue member. This is the plan of action they approved for Sankey to pursue.

Where did I lie? The TRO was made against the NCAA. The SEC was not named until after the fact when Sankey created a rule that specifically included NFL contracts.
Why is Cole Hutson now suddenly ineligible after Sark maintained all along he wasn't an NFL player?
If you poll most LSU fans, their outrage is more about the selective punishment from Sankey and the SEC.

hutson being ineligible has nothing to do with the SEC rule. it is something more specific with the NCAA

and the outrage shows how dumb most LSU fans are. the rules were voted on and LSU approved them. by definition the only school that was even remotely breaking the rules was LSU.

According to Sark

"Something more specific" meaning completing in rookie minicamp?

well as far as I know there are other teams with mini camp players on their roster so it looks very much like it isn't an SEC rule.

and I was right. Ethan Sanchez participated in NFL mini camps and he is on South Carolinas official roster

oh yeah and Hutson is on tu's official roster as well.

I enjoy reading your posts on this board, especially concerning recruiting. I apologize if I've ever been disrespectful, I only come here to have discussion with other fanbases about SEC football. I enjoy the discourse no matter the colors we wear and do my best to remain respectful. I know firsthand the idiot LSU fans on social media, but I promise my purpose is not to troll. Have a great night and good luck this season.

I'm not saying you're trolling but it does not appear you grasp the SEC rules or the real issue here. this has little to do with the NFL players and more with the entire situation.

by the rules NFL mini camp participation does not make you ineligible, granted in the future it will unless you don't have to declare for the draft to be invited. no seniors out of eligibility last year could declare because they are automatically entered i to the draft and therefore cannot withdraw.

I am.sorry if I was disrespectful towards you in particular

You weren't being disrespectful.

Hopefully this circus is coming to an end and actual football can be the focus instead of off the field chaos.
