The offense for 2026 is adding pieces that were missing last season, like a large body WR and maybe more speed.

Carsyn Baker could be the speed back that defenses in the SEC cannot catch.

I don't know if Carsyn will get any meaningful playing time but he could give Reed a new weapon.

Stats say he's close to Achane.

Dude looks impressive. I'm a big fan of a good sized back with speed. Some much better than a small quick back for extended use.

Each tenth of a second is 2 feet. He is 10' slower.

Now all we need is a really good quarterback who can get him the ball !

Straight line speed is very important for backs, primarily in breakaway plays that become explosive. Achane's gift was to use his speed/quickness in the backfield to hit the hole before the DL even knew it was a running play.

I don't keep up with HS recruiting, so I won't claim to know much about Baker. That being said, comparing anybody to Achane is tough to live up to. Achane was unique in that he wasn't just the fastest man on the field, but a tough football player who happened to have elite speed. If we found another one of those, oh boy.

Arrington is closer to Achane speed I think. Edwards is also extremely fast. Elko has been recruiting speed.

I don't know if anyone has said this before but Achane is so fast that everyone else just looks a bit slower…
