Arkansas. My twin daughters are class of '25; one is Animal Science, the other is Interior Design (which they don't have at A&M).

Fayetteville feels a lot like Aggieland when I was there also.

I'm assuming you mean a second team you can find immense enjoyment from a certain outcome of a game

I have several:

Kentucky (wife's alma mater)
UNC (wife's grad school)
Penn (my grad school)
West Texas A&M (first daughter's school and my former employer, if you haven't adopted a local D2 program, I highly recommend it (cheaper, you can actually get to know the athletes, easy logistics, still highly competitive)
Arkansas (oldest son's school)
Texas Tech (next daughter will be there in fall 26)

With five more at home to go, still could add to the list. I think I'll eventually get a least one Aggie in the bunch but we'll see.

Baylor

First and foremost the team playing against the orange nut-less cows is my go to side team. After that, any SEC team (except orange nut-less cow) playing non SEC team.

Wife is a Gator, so UF. Been a Duke Basketball fan since I was kid.

Nebraska. Grew up 30 minutes from memorial stadium. I've got a lot of friends that went there. I also got my graduate degree from UNO and since they don't have a football team anymore, GBR! (When not playingy Aggies). Nebraska has a lot of similarities to Nebraska. A lot of agricultural overlap. Lotta diehard, loyal fans.

Clemson, I was born in SC and lived there until I was 12.
Texas Tech. My oldest attends there, but I have two freshmen at A&M

I don't really have a side team, but I usually pull for Navy in this one. Maybe because Dad was in the Army and I wanted to root opposite of him for a change (we're both Aggies).

But it's a game where I don't really care who wins, I just love to watch it because it's everything good about college football.

Spent 6 years of my youth living in Arkansas. Was a Razorback fan then, so probably Arkansas.

My grandad was a prof and long time admin there. I first started paying attention to football as a young kid when they beat Nebraska in the NC. It's unfortunately been down hill since then, until this year which is also unfortunate…

Very different persona than A&M but suffers the same habitual losing fashion of recruiting well and having plenty of resources, but falling short on the field. Very similar fan experience.

Enjoyed VA Tech with elder Beamer.

SMU in the ACC. Iowa and Washington in the BIG. I do like the service academies because of their commitment and because they play a really enjoyable brand of football to watch. Towards the rest I'm either apathetic, hope they lose, or really hope they go 0-12 (sip, Baylor, LSU)

Once Aggie Football stops, I move to Aggie BB, Baseball, Softball, Hockey..

Notre Dame - oldest son went there.
Harvard - middle son played there.
VIncennes - youngest son will throw (track and field) there. No football team.

Any anyone playing against Baylor and Penn St. Two teams that I felt deserved the death penalty and didn't get it.

Southwest Texas. My parents went there. My uncle played basketball there. My grandfather coached basketball there. He passed several years ago but we still have his season tickets at midfield.
