I think Miami has a good shot in their semi-final game. They're playing with a lot of physicality. Didn't play as physical earlier in the year. I'm sure Elko realizes it - A&M has to get better rushing the ball and stopping the run.

UGa is the likely champ though. I expect them to grind UM down.

I agree unless Beck gets hot. The dude can spin the football.

Stockton is the best QB in the country. I don't think people have noticed how well he's playing. UGA has to be the favorite.

That's how I feel as well.

Stockton is the QB in this playoff that will find the open man and make your defense pay every time. He's the most dangerous player in the whole thing.

Miami also has linebackers and a secondary that can hit. We didn't. Heck we had guys that avoided contact (looking at you wet blanket).

Congrats to Miami on another big win. It makes you wonder what could have been if we had executed, such as completing easy passes etc.

Not at all surprised by this outcome. Told my son before the game that Miami might only score 17, but it might be enough to win. Nailed that one.

I don't believe you. We'll need corroboration from your son.

He didn't throw piss poor passes and he wasn't required to block.

We were the fraud

We were a "targeting no-call" away from tying these guys. Marcell didn't have a great game, but after watching this game, I know our defense was legit. We just had an inept OC who didn't utilize Reed's strengths.

And a slight overthrow and a kickoff return called back away from winning by a lot more. So?

Hehe. Been watching the Ags since Tom Wilson was hired, and this was the best roster we've had. I expected Miami to give Ohio State fits.

Congratulations to No. 10 Miami for controlling defending national champion No. 2 Ohio State from start to finish as a 9.5-point underdog to advance to the CFP Semifinal against the winner of the No. 6 Ole Miss vs No.3 Georgia in the Fiesta Bowl! Miami has won 6 consecutive games to improve to 12-2 (6-2 ACC), and they handed Ohio State their 2nd consecutive loss to drop them to 12-2 (8-0 Big 10). I noticed a few other trends.

1. Miami became the first double-digit seed in the 12-team College Football Playoff era to win both a first-round playoff game and a quarterfinal.

2. Mario Cristobal is 2-0 against Ohio State, previously Oregon's 31-24 road win at Ohio State on 9/11/2021.

3. Ohio State lost 2 consecutive games after winning 16 consecutive games, including all 12 regular season games.

4. Ohio State lost by double digits for the first time since a 14-3 loss to Missouri in the 2023 Cotton Bowl on 12/29/2023 and lost a playoff game by double digits for the first time since a 52-24 loss to Alabama in the 2021 CFP National Championship Game on 1/11/2021.

Each team only had 8 possessions the entire game, and Ohio State only had 3 in the 2nd half (not counting meaningless end of half possessions or pick 6).

My point is that the key play in the game was the holding penalty that killed Ohio State's final drive of the game. Miami had been unable to stop them the 2nd half.

Much like Texas A&M, OSU outgained Miami significantly, but couldn't run the ball, lost the turn-over battle, and couldn't protect their qb. Miami wins twice without 300 yards in either game.

And, although the Bucs fans can be overjoyed that they finally won "muh rivalry game," the actual prizes that matter - the Big 10 championship (not really) and the natty, were frittered away with consecutive losses. Which season do you think they prefer now? 2024 or 2025? That's rhetorical, in case some Aggies can't tell...

OSU loses their last 2 games of the season. By bleeders logic, their season sucked.

Surely he bought more capital after winning a natty last year but this is going to put some MAJOR heat on Day. If he loses to Michigan next year and is one and done in playoff he's done after next year.

OSU sees it as a total disaster

Firing Day anytime in the next 3 years would be insane.

Everyone is trying to chase Saban's dominance. It just ain't going to happen.
