Should NIL include buyouts for Players or Schools to buy out their contracts.

Meaning all players signing a multi-year deal, or risk 1 and done sort of thinking.

Would help coaches emphasize playing time if you intend to stay for 4 years vs 2 etc.
School picking up a player has to buyout a percentage to the current school?

I would love to see NiL deals be 4 years, base pay, incentive structure for performance and buyout for leaving.

Furthermore, NCAA should revert to sit out a year to transfer (barring a coaching change or graduation).

There's already SOME schools or NIL groups doing contracts like that.

We are the absolute WORST at negotiations, contract writing and anything related to money management.

At this point, they should give up with the NIL charade and just give out four year contacts.

I like incentives for performance but thats gonna lead to far more players on PEDs.
Although for coaches I think this could work potentially.
Change for NCAA would be bans following coaches involved and not just the prior school.

If you draw professional salaries, you should have professional contracts

Well, that's a moot point, isn't it? If you play professional "games" you go by professional rules.

Yes.. coaches would need to decide to either get a great QB coach to develop Reed heavily (if he can improve) or to acquire someone that plays at a higher level. Worked great for Indiana.

Until we get a great QB, this season will be the best it gets with the weaker/favorable schedule.
