I think Weigman beats Miami, but other two not so sure…

I think Connor is much more accurate when moving

Are you high? Go watch his last few games as an Aggie.

You think it's possible something was wrong with him during that season? It sure seems to be the anomaly in his career.

During the telecast, the announcers said last year at A&M Connor had a hurt shoulder, then a hurt bicep. He's looked really accurate tonight, and apparently he's confirmed he's coming back to UH next year.

They both had their opportunities here and were absolutely trash.
Maybe we stop blaming the QBs and start demanding development from our coaches .
These are the times that try men's souls. They also mentioned how Jimbo's playbook was extensive, and moving to UH helped Weigman play more instinctively. I wonder how Klein's playbook is compared to both.

One of those QBs won eleven games this season and played in the CFP. The other two played in the Pop Tarts Bowl and the galleyfurniture.com Kinder BBQ Texas Bowl

Well, maybe ask Conner? He's played under Klein

Fair enough. I thought this was his second year at UH. I'm not keeping up with the carousel.

Concur.
I'm now in the camp that thinks the coaches across the board at A&M are not getting the job done.

Lol wut?

Theres a reason both are not finishing their careers here.

Edit to add that neither played a whole season as QB1.

Wiegman was on target tonight and got the W over lsu. A well earned win for Conner.

Connor had a huge tight end target who is a legit 6'7". That kid was difficult to defend. Wish that kid some eligibility left. Would be a great pickup.

Need to finish it.
Both had piss poor offensive line blocking and both were first coached by Jimbo Fisher.
The coach at Ga Tech knew Haynes and originally recruited Haynes to go to Tennessee and developed a close relationship with Haynes and his family before he came to A&M. That's why when he got his degree from A&M he left for Ga Tech where Brent Keyes was. It was obvious from the results last night that has made a difference with Weigmann.

As Elko says... try living in the present, not the past.

Weigman, as of 12/2025 is the better, more accurate QB in many facets. He layers the ball well into all (3) zones accurately. He hits most routes in stride by 3:1 over our current QB, he leads the receivers when moving outside the pocket with accuracy. At this moment he is much more mature and developed than anyone we have.

While here he was trying to play through a throwing shoulder injury, but clearly he's healed, rehabbed, and has his full feel back... it was on display tonight. What really hurt LSU was his ability to put the ball into the hands of his WR's at full speed -- that was effective and made it difficult to defend, even with LSU's speed.

As someone who has injured his throwing shoulder, had to rehab, and get back into top form for competition, I can tell you getting my "feel" back was the most challenging thing. Before my injury I was 8/9 out of 10 from the free throw line... after I was 5/10. I simply could not get range down - with a basketball, football, throwing a baseball. So happy for Connor that he has recovered and he beat a superior talented LSU team with primarily his accurate QB play.

Reed is clearly better than Weigman

Reed has higher QBR and Passer rtg

Weigman was always the most talented but he needed the change of scenery

Idk if he got complacent or spooked or what, but he was broken last year

King and the QBs for UH and LSU are better than Reed. No mechanics issues. No head case issues. I'm sad.

You really need to lay off the strong stuff. If you watched either one of the quarterbacks in the U of H/LSU game, it's pretty darn clear that Reid is inferior to both of those guys. You could talk about ratings all you want. I'm talking about game performance. Those two guys were ballers. Reid is not. Next year is going to be full of misery.

Ya your subjective drivel is clearly superior to objective metrics. Dumb

Weigman was horrible on the field in 2024, and in his 4th year he was still worse Reed

Leave it to the dumbest board on texags to prop up their former hero who couldn't complete a pass against ND and is playing against a team of backups in a meaningless bowl.

Conner was benched THIS season. If their backup was even half decent, he'd be transferring again. He was garbage most of the year and struggled to score on.. checks notes.. Oregon State.

Since we're talking about all 3 of them...

Weigman QBR rank #37
Reed QBR rank #23
King QBR rank #15

Point is that they've all done well on their respective teams. Each one of them have their strengths and weaknesses. The difference might be that other teams have been able to coach their strengths into their playbooks, rather than 'square peg into a round hole' their guy into a coach's scheme.

Congrats to each of them. I'm looking for more great things from Weigman and Reed next year. King deserves a tip of the cap for his warrior mentality. His leadership brought out the best in those around him.

Lack of development is why we paid Jimbo a record amount of money to go away

As another poster said CW when he left was a broken player, he had enough upside to get a shot at Big 12 school and is playing like a 4-5* recruit should play

HK, MR, CW were all highly regarded QBs coming out of high school They all had good years. MR and The Ags had a much better defense went 11-1 and made the playoffs

If GT defense is better They make ACC championship game and probably win it
U of H is not as good as the Tceh, BYU but still a mid tier P4 team that has some players and is well coached without CW U of H is likely a lower tier P4 team

" Those two guys were ballers. Reid is not"

They all have their faults. Saying Reed isn't a baller is just flat out stupid and makes it clear you don't know wtf you are taking about.

Haynes King played behind the absolute worst offensive line A&M has fielded since my freshman year in 1974. Remember Addazzo was our O-line coach? Conner Weigman's O-lines improved in Elko's first year but early, they were pretty rough. Remember, those O-lines averaged getting 2.5 QB's seriously hurt per year over a 3 year period. Plus King and Weigman were young and inexperienced.
