I don't know if next years OC is better or not but that has to be the worst call at the goal line I have ever seen a coach make.

And it isn't our first time that this has happened to us with Klein. But it is the first time this has happened to us with Klein being the coach for another team.

At the very least it makes Klein leaving much more palatable

We were out of time outs, but we had 30 something seconds. We could have thrown a run play in there easily.

There was plenty of time to run at least one play.
I think many of us knew he would throw the INT that he did.
I certainly did.
Reed's done that often this year.

We were operating in close quarters. A 4 yard area. It's not like the WRs had to run back far after a play. We had plenty of time to run the ball.

To allow Reed to attempt end zone passes inside the 20 at this point in that situation is laughable. The outcome we got was the only outcome I was expecting.

I don't disagree.

But yeah, consider me shocked that the day after a loss everyone on this board would totally have called the end of the game differently.

If we were concerned with trying to jam it thru the middle of the line and get caught with no time outs and the Miami players laying on our players to burn clock, then run a jet sweep, a fake jet sweep and boot leg the other direction, or Reed rolling one direction or the other and throwing it away if necessary. Any of these would have ball carrier headed in the direction of the sideline and worse case scenario goes out of bounds to stop the clock.

The game was lost in the first half, when A&M did not score despite having field position.
A&M should have been up 14-0 at the half.

Part of is Marcel and part of it is Klein, and Moss plays a role.

All of it comes down to hiring people who don't leave the first time they have a good year.

Klein was a bad choice from the start and I am not sure Wiggins will be better.
If you want to win a Natty you need the best OC mind available at the time of hiring.

Klein's "game plans" for tu and Miami were shameful

I think Klein was a good coach for us overall but it was pretty clear that goal-to-go situations were a massive weakness and a problem for both years. Hope we can fix it for next year.
