In all fairness there wasn't a person open because they were only rushing 4 and dropping 7. Every single replay from behind the offense I didn't see anyone he could have thrown to.

We got pushed around the last two games. Maybe it's time for Mike to take a hard look at replacing that vaunted strength and conditioning coach. Go listen to Chris Taylor's analysis in the post game wrap

our O line was never good. Some good players, but the unit wasn't good. We couldn't run most of the year unless the other team was tired.

Yep. If you cannot run the ball, you will struggle against better teams, as we saw last 2 games.

2 reasons we lost:

1) Reed made mega mistakes today. His passing was really inconsistent. He also made a lot of bad decisions.

2) Reed got very little help. The ground game was flat, primarily due to atrocious OL play.


I used to be worried about us losing many of our OL starters this off season.. No longer. These guys are just not that good. Plus they likely significantly hurt their draft stock because of their play today.

I would be less worried about their draft status and be more focused on the fact that most of them are completely out of eligibility.

TO 1 was a busted play.
TO 2 was a terrible pass
TO 3 was a last second attempt to tie the game

Only the last one was crippling. He made way more plays than Beck did to even keep us close. We ****ed up in every phase of the game today. I'll ride with Reed.

TO3 was a terrible pass way behind the receiver. A good pass was a TD there.

Case in point was Reed-Adams. When that undisciplined of a player is a captain on your team, that should tell you all you need to know. Not one of our OL will go in the first three to four rounds of the nfl draft. Again, we were sold on a bill of goods that was skewed off of lower competition. Not hard to see.

Add in that they had to switch up the o-line just about every game. Crownover would start, get owned, and then they would bring in Fatheree who wasn't much better. Not to mention when Nabou was getting owned at center, they would have to move Zuhn to center and bring somebody in at LT. Seemed like it happened every game.

TO 1 was still on him - he had guys closing in and didn't just throw it away.

I'll take a defense that gave up a total of 10 points.

Defense gave up 3 points until the 58:16 mark. This game is 100% offense and ST and a big chunk of the offense is directly on Reed.

Reed couldn't throw a screen past accurately. Receivers kept having to reach backwards.

We left probably 40+ yards on the field in the first half alone from his poor ball placement on those throws.

How can anyone with a brain think that Reed had a better game than Beck? Just look at the stats.

which was thrown behind an OPEN TE that, if he catches it, ties the game.

All the TO's were on him 100%.

He's not very good.

Hopefully going forward we have less big mouths like Reed Adams and Trey Zuhn. Just shut up and play ball. Don't be cocky when you haven't done anything

Well it was so bad at one time, the coach created a Cabo fund. In jest or not, its sad either way.

A lot of those if reed tucks a runs he gets something.

Not really, Miami has a good defense and they rattled Reid all game. He missed several open throws, and threw two of the 3 picks right to Miami.

And he should have taken off running and didn't.

Klein came out in a playoff game and did exactly what his 12 games of tape said he would do. No creativity. Running Moss wide and running Owens up the middle. Once it was known how the wind was affecting BOTH QB's, no adjustments. Where were the tight ends? Heck, where were they all season? Should have been pounding the seams against Texas and Miami who both had a Spy on QB and LB's flat footed in coverage waiting to pounce on the scramble. Where were the wheel routes? RB's kept stopping in the flat to be an outlet. Never once turned it up field. No misdirection the entire game. No RB screens off play action. Klein was checked out the last 2 games and was running Week 1 base offense.

Our OLine was better than last year and when healthy was good enough. I think end of season wear and tear caught up to them

We were 11-0 with some very good wins the OL was good enough

Which teams got the best OL portal prospects last year, I would think really good OLine portal players would be few and expensive

Our OL looked bad because our short and mid term passing was so erratic

And he didn't HAVE TO try and jam a ball in there. It was 3rd down so we had a play left. He played it like it was do or die. Horrible decision and throw.

Our o line looked bad because they are bad. Reed had no time even when they rushed 3 or 4. We haven't been able to run the ball against good teams all year. Our offense is built on a house of cards that came tumbling down in the last 2 games.
