The people that actually believe there might be a legit responsible reason. Bruh.

"To ESPN, Pat (McAfee), Coach (Nick Saban), Desmond (Howard), and the entire crew on GameDay, I apologize it was out of my control. To the Aggies and A&M fan base, I'm sorry. I will continue to let everyone out there run with a fake narrative and at the end of the day, perception always wins over reality. I love all of you who genuinely support me through (the) good and bad like you've all done for years. I have no doubt Texas A&M and the Aggie football program will be in that position again. I'm recovering and feeling about a 3/10, going to rest up and try to and get back to normal."

Is this actually the story, or just speculation from our "fans"? Not defending the guy, just haven't seen anything of substance to confirm.
Yes, Manziel really didn't show up. Yes, he really was in Miami the night before.
If his flight were delayed, he would have 100% said that. So it's only reasonable to assume he partied to hard to make his obligation.

He's a loser.
Sad but true.
Dude peaked at 20 and has been a disappointment ever since. I'm surprised he even still gets invited to the cool clubs and parties

So he still never gave a reason as to why he missed it? Seems like if it was his flight getting cancelled he would have said so.

Here's his Instagram story, which was coupled with a bunch of screenshots of people calling him out.

Johnny was in Dallas on Thursday night with his family for his sister's birthday.
Johnny was at the Jake Paul fight in Miami on Friday night. That fight ended around midnight.
How do I know this? Because he posted it himself on his instagram.
So rather than staying in Texas on Friday - he flew to Miami, where he knew he'd be out late for the fight. Maybe he had arrangements with a private jet - regardless, he knew any plans he had would be cutting it close, plus he'd have to appear on television with the effects of the night before lingering.
But because Johnny is an idiot and couldn't turn down a single night of partying (when literally its his entire life)... he missed a chance to appear in a massive television spot with Pat McAfee and Gameday to a gigantic audience. Since his only income comes from things like endorsements and influencer status - i.e. relevance... what would've been the smarter move to make?
But that's who he is. He's selfish, has zero awareness or accountability, and he's also a moron. Now he's trying to manipulate people with some bull**** excuse and trying to garner sympathy claiming he's sick or something... the fact is he was 3 hours away from College Station and couldn't help himself by going to Miami and partying. And it probably cost him the last bit of goodwill he had with A&M as well as burning the bridge at ESPN.
I'll always appreciate him for his run at A&M, but his bull**** has worn thin.

He will hit rock bottom one day and it will not be pretty. Hopefully it won't cost him his life.

However, you missed it.

But that's an assumption. Once again, not defending him but assumptions are not necessarily reality.

Yep. A lot of bro-bro-bro's carry the perpetual adolescence well into the land of gray hair and baldness. They just have fewer and fewer close friends, and keep finding more people to blame or get mad at.

The funny thing is that there are people who will actually believe that bull*****
He's an addict. His behavior is textbook. And completely transparent.
He's a POS human being and only cares about A&M when it benefits him personally or financially. Been obvious for years. I was done with him a while back.
Even if he had a 100% legitimate reason for missing Gameday, he's got a long enough history of flaking and screwing people over that it wouldn't matter.
He's an embarrassment to our school and to all of us who work so hard to perpetuate the Aggie legacy handed down to us through the generations.

At some point it feels like it stops being JFF's fault and instead lands with those that keep propping up these opportunities for him. You have to know going into something with him that it is a risk, yet people keep taking the risk for whatever reason.
