Some of the zoo prob wants Reed gone and QB2 or some other bum off the streets to be our QB. The ones still crying about tha wobbly pass that one time in warm ups in the off season.
Of course, the solution to this is just to Money Whip Tre Wisner or Colin Simmons.
But, this leads me to another idea. Would it be best for college football coaches to ask current players not to publicly announce that they are coming back to CFB until the last possible moment? There would be much less interest in Reed if he hadn't declared that he was coming back to CFB, and was a risk to declare for the NFL.

tbis is a smart approach by our competitors. i am sure they would love to have him but realizing the odds are long they can drive uo his dollar value which decreases avaibla e funds for other players.

This is all posturing in effort to manipulate resource allocations. I supremely doubt Reed is high on Kiffin's qb list. Kiffin likes a power qb game, spread playaction with deep shots. Reed isn't built to run the ball 8-12x game and his downfield inaccuracy is well documented. Jaxson Dart threw dimes down the field and is 6'2" 220.

We flipped Reed from Kiffin.
He may not want him today, but at one point he thought him a valuable prospect.

Tulane game not representative, similar to Reed's vs USCe. Mestemaker appears to be very fast doing checks, delivering, and usually has great accuracy. It will be interesting to see where he goes and how he does against better coverage. I'd look at Wyatt Young, too.

No doubt. I would like to see Reed finish this season with some good wins. However, if he wants to move on for more money, I'm fine with that. It would be interesting to see how he fares against the Aggies. I'm guessing they know his game fairly well.
Point is, I believe the Aggies are paying Reed a fair and competitive stipend. If that's not enough for Reed, I don't want the culture that Elko has built and maintained to be destroyed by one player.
There is a decent pipeline of prospects who are already on campus, on the way, or interested. I think we can win a lot of games with at least one of those guys. Maybe more than one. A great OC will go a long way.
