Never thought Tech would stay above us with a worse record and worse schedule. But the committee won't drop them below us if they lose. Also thought we had a good case to be ranked above Ole Miss or even possibly Oregon. But that didn't happen.
There were also a lot of people on here, including Billy, claiming that 10-2 guaranteed us a spot in the playoff, PRIOR to playing South Carolina.
If we had lost to Samford alone we would have fallen out of contention. But combine that with a loss to Texas also, I don't know what these people are thinking.
Any combination of losing two of the last three games, and we would not be a playoff contender.
