Why even open the portal before the CFP Final? It seems this early opening is completely arbitrary.

Further... I'd honestly prefer we go back to the one transfer and you sit for a year or lose a year of eligibility (not a real big deal when you're leaving after year 3 anyway). BUT give players an extra transfer penalty free following a head coach change or change of coordinator/their position coach.

Probably the guise of "student athletes" and needing to get the transfers enrolled before the spring semester so they can participate in spring camp.

Otherwise, you'd have to wait until the summer semester enrollment window for most schools.

I just hope that we are looking to poach some of the top talent from the programs in turmoil like LSU, Florida, Arkansas, … heck even Okie Lite if they have someone that fills an immediate need for us next year like Craver and KC have done.

Snag some OL guys if we are lacking depth next season
