That probably assumes we keep our state in the whole game. Plus I doubt we'd be so brutal.

Although difficult to cover, I think Elko should challenge the team to do it.

this may be the biggest mismatch in football this season. I don't think any SEC team has played someone this year as bad as samford is

I don't know what the players mindset will be in this game or how the coaches spin being "locked in" when we are about to play an absolutely awful, terrible, really, really, really, really bad football team. I'd imagine this will be used to dial in some playcalling, execution, get the seniors a lot of minutes, and then all the 3rd teamers, walk-ons, and freshman playing time.

Great game to fine-tune any red zone plays involving direct snaps to freshman running backs!

I think 42 is more realistic. If we're up 35-3 at half, I would expect more garbage time, and potentially some errors leading to some points for Sam.

This team isn't about to look down on the competition that's for sure. We've had a 10 game sampling. They're going to take care of business and so will the coaching staff. It would be disrespectful to the game if they don't give it their all.

The game plan will be very vanilla with everyone getting some work in. All those that have been clamoring for more touches for EJ will likely see that. and more carries for Morrow and Bussey. I don't see us doing any exotic stunts either. We will rely on our front 4 to get to the backfield without any crazy blitz packages.

I'd love to see more work for Izaiah; we're gonna need more from the WR group especially if Craver and Bethel Roman aren't at 100%.

After last week's scare, I don't see this team overlooking Samford.

I would say that this is one of those games where you won't see a line published. Fairly common with certain matchups between high powered FBS and not so good FCS

Probably comes out on morning of the game. Somewhere around -48 is my assumption

late in the year yes, only because the SEC is going to 9 conference games

I'm wondering if Elko might spend a little time this week on texas prep since we have a short week next week. They should be able to given the opponent this week.

Since we're going to be playing nine conference games from now on, the late-season non-conference game will become a thing of the past. I don't know if we've historically played bigger cream-puffs the last non-conference date than we have the earlier ones, but one less non-conference game is a good thing.

They are hoping that Ags play the entire game like they did 1st half against SC then they might have a chance.

We will play at least on cream puff per year. It might not be late in the season like now. With 9 conference games i believe we will go with 1 Power 4 game, 1 Group of 5 and 1 FCS game. Because playing an FCS will not kill you for a chance to ger in the playoff.

If you want to have a top-rate program, you can't be afraid of playing other top-rate programs. Even if that means potentially losing, less money, and one less guaranteed home game. In the end the team will be better for it.

All of our non-conference games should be home-and-home series with programs the caliber of ND.
