This game is about our offense scoring 27+. Defense will be fine.

Sometimes it's easier randomly coming off the bench like that, rather than starting and having 2 weeks to be nervous before you play A&M.

Against Vandy D:

Zollers was 14/23 for 138yds, 6yd avg, 60.9% completion. Rushed 4 for net 4yds (1 sack for -7yds) all in 2nd half action.

Stop the run, get pressure on the QB, cover tight with safety help over top. No need to spy a QB like that, he's not going to hurt you with his feet. Force him to make throws under duress. He should have thrown 3 picks in the Vandy game. However, give him time and he will find ways to get the ball to the open man. He keeps his eyes down the field very well.

They also will be without their star tight end so that'll make it tougher on him finding check downs.

My worry is their defense. This could be a low scoring slog fest similar to the Auburn game. We have got to score early to force Mizzou to get out of their gameplan early. They will look to control the clock and by way, the game. We must be deadly on offense, tough task against one of the top defenses in the country. I think they are ranked 4th?

But they also had games agains Kansas, Central Arkansas, Louisiana and U.Mass..not exactly barn burner offenses.

They are second in total defense in SEC games behind A&M.

Their offense is 10th against SEC games and against Vandy (also 10th in SEC Defense) they scored a whopping 10-points.

A&M's offense will be the best they have played so far this season and A&M's defense is also the best they will play so far.

Strong arm, quick release, decent accuracy, stares down recievers like they took his lunch money.

I love how we always pick the worst of a performance and decide that's what is going to happen.

He is a good QB that is young and made some mistakes in a game he wasn't expecting to play. We are notorious for making backup QBs look like Heisman contenders. He will be well prepared (Drinkwitz is a good coach) for this game and they will rely on their run game to win. I hope they play a good game and challenge us and we step up and meet that challenge. If we truly want to be elite, we will meet the challenge and win hard games on the road. This kid is talented and can create problems for a defense if given time. Are we good enough to meet that challenge and win a game like this on the road? I sure hope so.

It's not the passing that concerns me, it's stopping the run. If the front 6 can control the line of scrimmage and pressure the qb, the pass is not much of a concern....much.

Only a hand full of passes completed over 10yds. Got lucky on some of his scrambles as well as some of those throw aways. I predict a ton of pain in Zollers near future.

I think our line and disguised 4 man fronts get them. He seems good when he has time but if he has pressure in his face he runs backwards and tries to throw it OB. I bet Elko has something cooking for him.

He's got a good arm and has some zip to his passes. Not sure how elusive he is but Vandy seemed to get some pressure which means I expect us to get even more. This will be his first time preparing as a starter. We will see what happens.

Looked like kid whoe ss think too much agaisnt a defense that had 2 weeks to prepare for him. Its different stepping into a game vs preparing and executing for one
