Only a hand full of passes completed over 10yds. Got lucky on some of his scrambles as well as some of those throw aways. I predict a ton of pain in Zollers near future.

He had no idea he was going to play in that game. He will have a full two weeks preparing as the starting QB. We may destroy him but predicting what is going to happen by the Vandy game is probably not the best barometer.

He had a long time on some of those plays he won't have against A&M.

Seems fairly elusive in avoiding the rush and keeping his eyes downfield. Doesn't seem inclined to run the ball.

Two weeks for Elko and company to prep. I don't like his chances for major success . I suppose you could say the same wrt Drinkwitz.

Thanks for posting that OP.

He literally stands tall in the pocket. He drops back with little bend in the knees and stares at his first read and tries to quickly get the ball out to that read as long as it's not super blanketed. If he doesn't love it, he doesn't check a second read, he just starts to scramble instead.

He was smart with the football and checked down when needed

When he had a clean pocket, he was accurate and could be dangerous

When he was pressured, he had a hard time

I think we're gonna eat this kid alive

Lets hope he doesn't say some racist crap in his postgame presser like the last Zoeller.

Efficient release, pretty accurate, and he moves well. I think we're looking at a kid that will throw for 6000 yards in his college career. That said, he had a lot of clean pockets in those dropbacks, and will likely have far fewer Saturday. Also, as gettable as Dez Ricks is, the combo of Ricks, Lee, and Chappell are markedly better than what Vandy is starting.

I was very impressed with Zollers, under the circumstances, and expect him to lead 2-3 MADDENING first half scoring drives, particularly coming off a bye. Also, I think he'll be acutely susceptible to the Elko halftime adjustment.

QB2 is always the best. We need to be prepared for a heisman level performance.

He looks like a good QB and may have a bright future at Mizzou. However, he will be facing a more complex defense on Saturday. Our #1 priority needs to be stopping the run and in particular Ahmad Hardy.

Vandy doesn't have a great pass rush as seen this past Saturday when Arch had the most time to pass he has all season.

Here's to the kid falling flat on his face. I'd love an easy watching football game like we had in the 2nd half against corn dog.

Something something greens something. I wonder what percentage of Gen Z and/or Alpha would even have the cultural context to understand the actual joke...let alone evaluate its offensiveness. Michael Che and Collin Jost might be doing more heavy lifting than we give them credit for.

Anyway yeah Zoller does not seem to excel under pressure. I'm not sure where Vandy's pass rush ranks, but I expect we'll get a lot more QB pressures than they did. Now if Mizzou can keep our D scared of the run, and keep Zoller on cadence, they may be able to execute some decent drives.

From the limited snaps I've seen of sip this season (our 2nd hardest remaining game), their QB seems to do distinctly better when flushed from the pocket and scrambling, generally improvising. In that way I figure they'll be a big contrast to what we see this Saturday.

He's Missouri's QB3. 1st 2 have already gone down.

He looks quite good for coming in like that and their RB is legit. Should be an exciting game and I think it'll tell us something about our defense. We should beat them soundly if we expect to be favored going into Austin.

On the other side- he had no idea he was going to play in that game and neither did vandy. He didn't have to think, just perform. The coaches did a good job calling quick passes and he did a good job reacting to pressure.

Now, a team gets to face him preparing for him and he has two weeks to feel the pressure and absorb all the info that comes with a starting role.

Looked pretty good in a clean pocket with no pressure (from the clock or the defense). Like most QB's, he was awful when pressured. Vandy doesn't have half the QB rush we do. I expect us to come after him. Need to make sure LB's and safeties are ready for the screens and draws.

This. Under pressure he almost threw several int's.

He has a good arm though, and he's going to be a great QB. He doesn't seem to have a natural touch on the deep ball, but I'm sure that will be developed.

This will be an interesting game.

Elko's calling card is exotic blitz package where you have no clue where the pressure is coming from. That doesn't bode well for him but that is why they play the game. I think he is going to face massive pressure and be tricked into throwing into coverage. Calling it now, he is going to read all out blitz only to have everyone drop into coverage and pick!!!

I have a feeling their QB is going to spend a lot of time on his back during this game.

Big key of the game, in my opinion. Could be the difference between a fairly comfortable win or very competitive.

I think the OL blocking scheme plays large roll in his success, their tackles are good but the rest of the line has been subpar. The scouting report says Zollers has a tendency of trying to do too much sometimes and that is where we need to make them pay.

We "should" be able to apply pressure on him all game and as long as we don't let him move the chains with his feet I think we will be okay. You know Mizzo is going to run the ball to try to get more of the defense in the box.

Yeah, mizzou is going to short pass and run us to death if they can. If they can manage 3rds and less than 4 most of the game, they will be happy

Which we have stopped over 90% of the time this season. Elko has been doing a lot of rush blitzes to confuse the OL

We are much better on 3rd and 10 than we are on 3rd and 4

Playing against a QB3 is like fighting a guy half your size. If you win people say you beat up on a weakling, if you lose you look like a clown. This game is going to do very little for our perception as a top tier team. We could end up being the most underrated 11-0 team in the history of the SEC.

Lots of screens and a couple of well timed passes over the middle. He was safe when throwing downfield in that he didn't under throw, but Vandy easily should have had a pick or two when he threw under pressure. If we control their run game, and get in his head, I can't see us NOT intercepting him at least once.

i went and watched a little of his high school highlight film just to see what he looked like when he wqs comfortable. he has some skills to work with. nice release and faster than i expected.

stuff the run and make him hold the ball. he is going to be a first read get rid of the balll quick game manager make him move to the second read and the pass rush will get home.

He'll throw at least 2 picks. We need to jump those quick slants.

Stop the run, get pressure on the QB, cover tight with safety help over top. No need to spy a QB like that, he's not going to hurt you with his feet. Force him to make throws under duress. He should have thrown 3 picks in the Vandy game. However, give him time and he will find ways to get the ball to the open man. He keeps his eyes down the field very well.

They also will be without their star tight end so that'll make it tougher on him finding check downs.

My worry is their defense. This could be a low scoring slog fest similar to the Auburn game. We have got to score early to force Mizzou to get out of their gameplan early. They will look to control the clock and by way, the game. We must be deadly on offense, tough task against one of the top defenses in the country. I think they are ranked 4th?

He'll only be as effective as his coaching. They had a week to prepare him, if they simplify the offense to him, then he'll be effective for a qtr or two. After that, I'd expect elko to figure out the limits and shut things down. If the coaches don't simplify…. Then he'll make a lot of mistakes and we will take advantage.

Either way….. it's isn't going to be good. And their only chance is we have a bad day on offense

I worry out this game (BAS induced). However I do like that we have at least some film on this QB vs none
